Tank Girl 1 (Remastered edition)

I used to read Tank Girl back in the day. I came across this collection while idly browsing through Amazon late one night. I bought it out of nostalgia's sake and when i read it, it's like my comic reading youth came flooding back. It's still as amusing and fun to read now as it was back then. Definitely picking up the other collected works.

I loved the movie tank girl so when I found out there are comics and had to start reading them, the art work is amazing and the story is great☺️

It's a great edition, even someone like me who wasn't familiar with the "Gorillaz" artist's previous work can tell that this edition is worth having because of how well laid out it is and for the short yet cool intro. I bought the used copy and it is in great condition! ENjoy!

Best. Comic heroine. Ever. As always, a fabulously written graphic novel for every Tank Girl lover. All the first adventures in one book, now to collect the rest!

My first foray into the world of Tank girl, and I think I'll be back for more, I really love the anarchic-irrevent-woman archetype and ideas of my own led to find something in the vein. Tank Girl is very juvenile and sometimes putrid in it's humour but it is intended that way. The art if fantastic. My only criticism is that some of the stories were stronger than others.

Apart from a small blob of what I can and will only assume was chocolate sat in the middle of the cover when it arrived. Other than that its fantastic :-) The 'chocolate' came off with a wet sponge, new book. Awesome :-)

Being somewhat a cult comic fan, I'm always on the lookout for REALLY original looking stuff. So when I heard about "Tank Girl," I HAD to check it out. This compilation series starts off with Alan Martin, the writer of Tank Girl, giving an introduction talking about the source of inspiration for Tank Girl among other things. The series itself is pretty random and childish, but also very funny, violent, sexy and stylish. It's mostly about a girl in her early twenties driving a highly armed tank around a post-apocalyptic Australia. Lots of boozing, nudity and kangaroo jokes. This volume shows all the Tank Girl stuff from the first 8 issues of Deadline in the original black and white forms, which can be problem because : A.) Some of the words are sort of faded, but not too bad. B.) All you people who constantly demand to see color in movies, comics and music will be sorely disappointed. Anyway, as a newcomer to the series, I was happy with it, but for the rest of you veteran fans, there's probably not too many reasons for you to replace the previous compilations you bought years ago with this one.
