Protects the screen and holds device in two positions
Wanting to give my Nexus 9 a new lease of life I decided to take it out of the cover I'd bought for it which added some considerable weight and bulk and purchase the "magic" cover produced by HTC. I read the reviews and if I was paying £40 (the original price) I may not have purchased it to "give it a go".The good news is that this product will magnetically attach to the front or rear of your Nexus 9 and (if you follow the tiny graphical instructions) turn into a two position stand which *will* hold the weight in both of those positions. The bad news is that it's not going to provide Captain America's shield protection, so if you need something to encase your tablet, this isn't for you. Also it can wobble a little when in situ, this may cause a problem going into and out of backpacks, bags etc. just be careful. In summary, if you want something which is more like the iPad's range of magnetic covers, this is it, just get used to it, don't hold the device by it, hold the device instead. I really like it.

Someone tell Google/HTC how magnets work please
For the price this 'case' is definitely not worth it. This barely functional product has many issues, weak magnets mean that the cover can slip off during use. If you're trying to fold the case into a stand or fold it over the back, it will struggle to stay on without a light touch. The folding capability of the case itself is limited, only supporting a stand in portrait mode. Other cases have greater and improved functionality over this product and for a cheaper price. The reasons I will keep this item and put up with it are, my laziness in looking for another case, its made from a nice material and finally, when the case is on the back you can bend the tab in front of the camera down to open the camera app. This last bit was quite amusing but can be unintentionally activated if you're a little clumsy...Overall rating: Meh, maybe don't buy it?

Little bulk addition with style.
I was looking for a protective cover with a simplistic design and foldable. After days searching a case not as expensive as the official one but with the same characteristics, I didn't find something that could replace this one. Too bulky, not stylish... When I decided to buy the official cover, I found many critics in its functionality. It could fall off easily and standing positions were not working well. But I decided to risk the choice. I found it works well, not outstanding but well. The cover has been never removed as I carried the tablet in my backpack. Placing the cover to allow the tablet stand still was tricky at first but after some tries never failed. I am not disappointed with my purchase, little bulk addition with style.

Minimal protection but sturdy lightweight stand (for newer builds?)
The name of the product listing is misleading; it is a cover not a case. If you're looking to protect your Nexus 9 from scratches this probably isn't what you're looking for, it is however quite a handy travel stand and will reduce the amount of the dust accumulating in the speaker grills. Haven't experienced any of the problems mentioned in other reviews and the magnets are strong enough to support the Nexus 9 but I have heard this is due to HTC placing stronger magnets in the tablet for the newer builds. Works great for me and looks nice to boot. Overall I'm very pleased with the magic cover even though it is slightly expensive.

For a genuine OEM product it disappoints
This is a nice idea that unfortunately doesn't really work as well as it should. It kinda works, but it just isn't secure enough in most circumstances. It's great in a way that it's easily removed so that one can use the table unhindered by a case, but as a stand it fails with the slightest disturbance and as a protector for the screen is too easily dislodged. The Nexus doesn't always switch off when applied to the screen as when it's been used as a stand for a while it doesn't immediately lie flat. For a genuine OEM product it disappoints overall.

Great once you get the hang of it
At first it would fall off here and there. once you get the hang of it you learn quickly to get it into a position for use. handy as i dont take my device out much so prefer not to bulk it up. and the option to quickly remove at a moments notice.found that it has multiple "settings" as a stand ... e.g. when laying almost flat you can adjust the angle with 3 options (just slide the flaps out of the grooves slightly and it will hook in about 1/3 the way in, and again.same works for the tall stand setting

Super cover for Nexus 9
At first I really didn't lke this because it isn't a case. However, now I love it. The two sides of this cover are different. The coral side has a rubbery texture and easy to keep clean. The other side has a velvety feel to it and helps to keep the screen clean.Because it only covers one side, it doesn't protect the back or sides of the tab but I am very careful with my tab so that isn't an issue for me.The cover is magnetic so contacts with the metal edge around the tab's screen. This is quite a strong contact but the cover can slide a bit. The cover can be folded (again held by magnet) to make a stand which is at a good angle and holds the device securely. When I'm using by tab I just remove the cover and attach to the back of it. When used like this you are able to flip back the camera corner to automatically open the camera function.
