CTC620 Charger Replace for Snap On 18V Charger CTB4187 CTB6187 CTB6185 Series Tool Battery

this charges my new (li ion) batteries (that replaced nicd batteries) for my snapon drill.

The CTB6187 battery did not fit onto the charger. It wouldn't push on far enough.I compared the unit to the failed SnapOn charger and it turns out the terminals stuck out too far preventing the battery from connecting properlyI had to dismantle the unit and cut them back. Now they are the same as the failed Snap-On charger and the battery does charge OK

Liked everything. Have not had any overheating issues.

This charger is a huge fire hazard, melted snap on battery and charger, lucky it wasn’t on there long and caught just in time or it could have caught fire ! Beware!

Way cheaper than the Snap-on one and it works just as good

First use of this charger resulted in a heavily smoking overcharged (genuine snap-on) battery which was too hot to touch. Unplugged and got a tool to help slide the battery off to cool (took hours). Luckily I was sitting right next to the charger and saw the smoke in time to pull it off.Returning and will not replace.

Works great
