Excellent Projector
Awesome projector with super clarity. The brightness and auto focus really makes the experience at par with theater cinema. The setup takes only seconds and whoa you are now watching Netflix through the projector. The sound is pretty good but we also added bluetooth speakers just for theater experience. One of the best things about this projector is that you can project it on ceilings, which my kids liked a lot. Some comments said that there is a lag with remote but I could not find any issue with remote and it worked very much fine. The only con I can think of is that this projector does not have optical zoom, which is not really an issue since it does have digital zoom which is good enough for our viewing experience.

Best Lifestyle Projector of 2023 and 2024.
In this price range, this is hands down, the best lifestyle projector you can buy. I have tried comparables from Dangbei, Nebula, Xgimi, Formovie, BenQ, and returned them all for the JMGO N1 Ultra. JMGO's contrast ratio is unbelievable and way ahead of the rest. Blacks are deep, colors are super rich and vibrant, it's so bright that I watch it all the time during the day with natural lights coming through the windows. Watch it at night with the lights on and it's still amazing. I've had this unit since December '23 and have not experienced any issues whatsoever. Only a couple of people I've heard from complained about seeing laser speckles. They must've had a defect because I have not seen or notice one single laser speckle throughtout many hours of uses, eventhough I tried very hard to find one. I don't even use a screen. I have a massive white matte wall and project a 200" 4k screen directly on it, and it looks absolutely stunning, bright and crisp. I have an LG C3 Oled Tv and the picture quality of this projector is frighteningly comparable. I still can't comprehend the fact that I can easily take a giant 200" super bright 4k tv in a portable carry box, anywhere. I've connected it to my Z Fold 5 and Studio Laptop 2 with a usb c to hdmi cable rated 60hz at 4k resolution or 120hz at 1080p. Playing games on a 200" screen is unreal. Playing older movies in 1080p or even 720p, the projector upscales to 4k. Imagine watching a classic 80s flick on this thing, it replicates the feeling of how people saw it at the theaters. I've connected two Samsung Soundtower bluetooth party speakers with JBL microphones and did karaoke from youtube videos. There are lots of possibilities of what you can do. I will never buy another tv again.

I am blown away especially for the price!
I got the JMGO N1S ultra projector for $1500 during the prime day sale. After I received it and played around with it I was truly blown away by the picture quality as well as the sound quality. The contrast and vibrancy of the colors is astonishingly good especially once you get the projector in a dark environment or wait until night time. The 4K resolution as advertised is also as expected because you can clearly see small size font text. The sound from Dynaudio is also very rich and clear for how small the speakers from inside this compact projector but this was as expected since Dynaudio is known for making some of the best speakers in the world. I also tested the bluetooh sound on my airpods and there was no lag or issues whatsoever. The wifi is also fast and lag free when streaming content from Youtube or Netflix for example. My only complaints are the occasional brief lag when browsing the UI and I do wish the picture was slightly brighter for viewing in the daytime but for that I would have had to go for the N1S Ultimate and I did not want to pay the extra $500 just for a 15-20% brighter image so I can accept this fact because you get what you pay for. Also this might be just me but I can see a slight rainbow effect when moving my eyes quickly through the image at night but I did some research and this is because it's a single chip DLP and to avoid that you would have to buy a more expensive 3 chip DLP. So even with those minor inconveniences my 5 star review is still well justified mainly because of the price to value ratio I get for what I paid.

Good Performance, Warranty Fell Short
Initially, this projector was great—simple to set up, easy to use with an Apple TV, and it delivered good picture quality. However, after about a year and a half, it stopped functioning properly and began displaying a black, pixelated screen, which was disappointing given the price. Although the issue occurred outside of the one-year warranty, I was able to get a partial credit toward a replacement. That helped avoid paying full price for a brand-new unit, which I appreciated, but the relatively short lifespan is still a concern.

An amazing projector
This is an awesome, super bright, 4K laser projector with 3D capability. And reasonably priced! Had some concerns before purchasing, and I suspect that many people probably have similar concerns. Is it bright enough? We use projector in our living room, which has a lot of ambient light. There is conflicting information out there regarding the brightness of the projector, so I was not sure that this projector will offer a meaningful brightness update to our existing one, which is also a 4K projector with nice colors, but with only 2400 lumens. I was wrong! This projector is so bright, that I permanently set the brightness to 3 out of 10. As long I don't have all the blinds wide open at the same time, 3 is bright enough on our ALR screen. I suspect that many would find 3 too bright in the evening. The first photo shown here was when my son was playing video game on it, with all our ceiling lights turned on with full power and pointing towards the screen, and the projector's brightness set at 3. This shows you how bright this project is (having an ALR screen also helps!) Does it suffer the dreaded "laser speckle" problem? I didn't even know what laser speckle problem was until I started searching for laser projectors. Some mentioned that it's worse with ALR screens. *Unfortunately*, that's exactly the type of screen we have. I was comforted by the fact that this projector claims to have eliminated >90% of the speckle problem, but I was still concerned that the remaining portion could be problematic. So far, I still don't quite know what exactly laser speckle problem is, because we haven’t experienced any on our ALR screen. To the four family members in our house, none of us could tell any difference between our old bulb projector and this new laser projector, as far as "speckle" is concerned. As a matter of fact, the picture looks gorgeous on our ALR screen! DLP rainbow effect? Our old projector uses non-DLP tech so we didn't have any potential rainbow effect. So far, no one in our household has noticed any rainbow effect, or has felt uncomfortable watching shows for extended period. So we're very happy about that. Now other aspects of the projector we really like - The image is sharp; it's smart in many ways - it will automatically adjust the picture upside down when hanging from the ceiling; built-in Wi-Fi 6 is fast; it came with very decent speakers, so impressive that I don't turn on our AV system anymore when watching regular shows; it can adjust focus automatically; it has a screen auto-fitting feature, which makes screen adjustment super easy; the laser beam automatically shuts down when you walk in front of the projector. The project can play 3D discs (yeah!!), which I really, really appreciate. Watching 3D movies with this super bright projector is a treat. When my son plays games using the projector, he was pleasantly surprised that almost all feature boxes were checked, except for two associated with Dolby Vision, which this projector does not have. Now the not so great - it doesn't have any lens shift, so the initial installation becomes vital if you don't want to lose too much picture quality (using digital keystone adjustment will cause loss of resolution). As a comparison, our old projector is much more forgiving with its horizonal and vertical lens shift. It would also be nice to have a lens cover. While having 3D capability is much appreciated, the 3D menu seams to be a little clunky. Shouldn't this smart projector be able to auto detect that 3D content is being played and know what type of 3D content is being played? I hope this will be addressed with a firmware update in the future. Overall, a very satisfied customer.

An excellent projector that ticks all the boxes!
I love this projector. I've had it for almost a year. It has a big bright beautiful 4K vivid picture. I don't use any of the smart features of this projector, I have it connected to an Apple TV most of the time. It's the perfect setup. Amazingly, it's nearly silent as well. This was my number one concern when I originally purchased this projector and it really delivers on being incredibly quiet. It's very easy to aim, and the keystone & focus all works excellent. Every picture control I'd want is there in the settings. They even added a very low latency mode in a recent firmware update for gaming. Chef's kiss. When I first received this projector, it had an issue where the projector would power cycle randomly. I reached out to the seller and they worked with me to replace it quickly. Great support from them. This is definitely the nicest projector I've owned and would buy it again.

JMGO N1S Ultra 4K Review – Almost One Year Later
I’ve had the JMGO N1S Ultra 4K since November 20th, 2024, and after almost a year of use, I’m still very happy with it. I mainly use it for movies and streaming, and gaming is more of a bonus for me, but it’s been excellent in both areas. For movies and streaming, the picture quality is fantastic. The brightness is perfect for watching even during the day, and the colors are vibrant, making it feel like a mini-theater experience. With Google TV built-in, I can quickly switch between apps, and the setup is incredibly simple—just connect to Wi-Fi and you’re good to go. While gaming isn’t my main focus, it’s a great bonus. The JMGO N1S Ultra 4K supports up to 120Hz refresh rate at 1080p, so even fast-paced FPS games run super smooth without lag. The projector keeps up easily, and I can enjoy gaming just as much as I do streaming movies. I did have a minor issue with the projector turning off on its own earlier on, but I believe it was software-related. Thankfully, that hasn’t been a problem for several months now, and everything’s been running smoothly. The projector is still quick and responsive, just like it was when I first got it. For its price, I don’t regret my purchase at all. It’s been a solid investment, and it still feels like new. Whether for movies, streaming, or the occasional gaming session, I’m very happy with my purchase.

Overall convenience, portability, and exceptional performance make it a worthwhile investment
I had high expectations for a projector: it needed to be bright enough for clear visibility in well-lit environments, display vibrant colors in low-light environment, be portable for versatile use in the living room or bedroom, deliver excellent performance even without a screen, and come with minimal accessories while featuring automatic focus to minimize installation hassle. With these criteria in mind, I explored several popular options in the market, including the XGIMI Horizon Pro and Dangbei Mars Pro 4K Projector. After careful consideration, I chose the JMGO N1 Ultra, despite its higher price. I can confidently say that it has proven to be worth every penny, providing a convenient and enjoyable experience with each use. The JMGO N1 Ultra effortlessly met all my expectations. It requires no additional accessories, and I can simply place it on an Ikea cart. The stand allows for angle adjustments, eliminating the need for extra supports. Its portability is a standout feature, as I can easily move it from room to room and set it up in less than 2 minutes. The viewing experience is impressive, with the projector delivering excellent results even without a dedicated screen. The vibrant colors and clarity, particularly during scenes like the dazzling underwater sequences in Avatar 2, leave me thoroughly satisfied with my purchase. While the JMGO N1 Ultra comes with a higher price point, the overall convenience, portability, and exceptional performance make it a worthwhile investment. Each movie night feels like a true cinematic experience, and I couldn't be happier with my purchase.
