Variable temperature, on/off button. Sounds great. You turn it on, let it heat up for bit, wrap your hair round the tongs, untwizzle it and then wonder why it's got as much curl as a very non-curly thing. Why? Because what you didn't notice while carefully rolling up your hair was that you managed to hit either the on/off button or the temperature button and the tongs are actually cold again.The digital display and buttons look fairly sleek but they're just not practical - far too easy to press and, consequently, in the wrong place. When I'm in a hurry I don't want to have to keep rolling up the same strand of hair because it didn't work the first five times. What's wrong with the old-fashioned switches these things used to have?Come on, designers, put a bit of thought into the practicality and functionality of your designs, please!

i brought these tongs for my partner today and she tried them as soon as we got home, found they were very good as her hair is extremely difficult to style (ie anything that isnt ceramic is no good). she didnt have any problems with the buttons, however she can see how they could be fiddly.Overall they are the best curlers shes used so far.

The power button for the Babyliss Tongs is on the handle so is easy to hit accidentally while curling, so it's more off than on! I wouldn't recommend.

I ordered this item on the 21st July and was told it would arrived within 5 days. However, the item never did arrive, I then contacted the4 seller who reassured me another product would be dispatched and sent to me the following day. This again did not arrive for another 5 days. When the product finally arrived , it was acutally the wrong hair iron. I would not recommend using this supplier at all.
