We got this to protect some of our plants from the sun on hot bright days. It does a good job. We attach it to the garden fence with clothes pins. It allows air and rain to pass through. It has not sagged or stretched. Update: this summer has been so hot and dry that my raspberries have had white spots on them. They have sunburned! I put this over the berries (that are already covered by a net to keep out birds). It has done a great job keeping the blazing sun off the berries for a few hours each day. No more sunburned raspberries!

We used these to cover camelias that were in the sun too much. Central California summers can be brutal (105+) and that is the death sentence for camelias unless they are shaded. These cloths did the job and covered them nicely. I suffered no damage. Slight down side is they are light and must be tied down or will blow around. No complaints.

The material is fairly thin, so if you live in a windy area—even mildly windy—it can tear more easily than expected. However, it's very easy to set up, provides good shade, and allows rainwater to pass through, which is great if you're using it over a garden.

Perfect shade cloths for my large vegetable garden. Various sizes let me pick and choose which work best. Binding on sides with grommets makes it simple to attach to fence or bean poles with clips or twist ties. No more cutting or trying to remember which piece of shade cloth fits which group of plants. Highly recommend.

Who use it to cover my pool area and keep the leaves out, it works great over plants to shade them from the Texas Sun. Would recommend just make sure you measure and get the correct size

It is a lighter version of a full shade so don't expect to hold back a football team. The winds do not flap it all over the place, there is enough shade for sun comfort. Grommets usually show wear and tear after a season on most shades, especially if there is a lot of pull tension. To salvage the shades, I tie paracord around the corners. Not as pretty but very effective.

I've purchased this shade cloth multiple times and unfortunately the quality has been inconsistent. Out of three orders, only one arrived in perfect condition. One had incorrect stitching that came undone shortly after installation, and another was missing half a row of eye holes, which I didn’t notice until it was almost fully installed. Be sure to fully inspect the cloth before installing it. Also keep in mind that it’s vacuum-sealed for shipping, so once opened, returning it becomes inconvenient due to the size. That said, the material itself is tough and weather-resistant with good airflow. The one that was intact has held up outdoors for about two years with no problems. If you get a good one, it’s a solid product but quality control seems to be a gamble.

This is not 40-50% shade cloth as it says. If you go through the fine print of the description at the very bottom of the add it says 80-90% shade. Far too dark for a greenhouse so we will be returning it

This shade cloth is keeping my greenhouse much cooler. I got the 50% as that was recommended for my area. I like the way the edges are sewn numerous times so it is less likely to pull apart. So far I’ve found wind does not affect it much. I also can partially open the roof vents which is great. I’d recommend this shade cloth.

No eyelets on the sides.
