As an overall general layout for water collection this book is phenomenal. I received this book originally to review and can honestly say I will still be buying a physical copy for the bookshelf. This book doesn’t even need the word homestead. A lot of ideas in this book can be used by anyone from a farmer to a suburban mom.A lot of other reviewers mentioned lack of details and they are correct somewhat. This book is like rainwater for dummies which I prefer. With the amount of information provided in this book you can easily pinpoint what ideas can work for you and delve deeper into those sections without being overburdened. All and all, I would recommend this book to everyone.

This book gave me a lot of good information. We have been considering a rainwater collection setup and now we have a better idea of what to do. Everything is clearly written and easy to understand. The author is knowledgeable and presents the information in good order. If you are trying to learn more about rainwater harvesting, this is a must have book.

I received this book to review and I was very pleasantly surprised with the amount of content that was valuable to me and my water harvesting goals. One of my favorite reference points was the laws/regulations chart by state. It was a great starting point to know I was getting the most out of my area. I loved that the author included traditional harvesting options (think rain gutters and rain barrels) and not so traditional (think agricultural changes and catch locations). Overall I would have enjoyed to have a little more intense information about designing systems and how they benefit not only the homestead but also the Earth. 4 out of 5 stars, if I were to have the chance I would be happy with this purchase for my reference library. Thank you!

This book contains more information than I expected, and is a great place to start if you are considering harvesting rain water. It discusses the laws in each state for water harvesting, designs of systems, and how to address problems like contamination. It is easy to read and understand.

I love the author explains step by step each process of creating Water Accumulation Systems. Answered my concerns about legalities, designing for my current and future needs; as well as DIY instructions. Great money saving tips. Humor, facts and creativity made this book a not only an informative manual but a great read! A must have for any homesteader!

I received this book to review. Wow! I had no idea how much information was going to be packed into it. This is a definite Must Have for anyone interested in rainwater harvesting. I would love to have this in a physical book. I highly recommend this book!

I thoroughly enjoyed this read. The very practical way that the author addresses the positive impact to life in almost any residential setting is refreshing.Not “preachy” in any way, and it provides the “features” of rainwater harvesting to the “benefits” every one of us can enjoy with minimal investment. Covid-19 taught me anything is possible and that includes the chance well water or city may be unavailable at some point. Now I’m prepared!

We also received this book to read and review but got delayed in doing so. We ended up purchasing it and although we’ve skipped around reading and haven’t read the entire book yet, the book so far is a good starting point for those who are interested in rainwater harvesting but aren’t sure, well, where to start. The reader will even be given a list of questions to ask themselves to get them started.
