I used this paint varnish on a canvas I painted, and the results were impressive. The varnish goes on smoothly and dries with a beautiful, durable finish that really enhances the painting. Nice varnish, it’s not too glossy and it dries in a good time. It’s very runny so a little goes a long way you don’t need a lot at all!

I used the Winsor and Newton Galeria Gloss Acrylic Varnish to give a nice glossy finish to my hand-painted 3D printed Spyro (yes, the dragon from the video games!). The Gizmo in the picture, by the way, has no varnish for comparison. I’ve got to say, it worked like a charm—my little Gizmo looks like he’s ready for the big screen. The gloss really brought out the colors on Spyro, adding that extra shine that makes him look polished and almost ready to take flight. The varnish itself was easy to apply, with no streaks or uneven patches. It dried pretty quickly, which is always a bonus when you’re excited to see the final result. It’s also great for protecting my hard work, keeping the paint safe from scratches and dust. Plus, it’s non-yellowing, so I know my glossy Gizmo is going to stay looking fresh. Why did you choose this product over others?: I have used it at least 10 times by now. It is great for slowing down acrylic paint drying. However you need to remember it will never slow drying time to be the same as for oil paints.

Although I quite like the look of the finish, the varnish has lifted some of the paint. My acrylic painting had been drying for about a week so it certainly wasn't wet. The first coat went on ok with no problem but the next day I applied the second coat and that's when I noticed the problem. I probably won't use it now so feel I've wasted my money.

I'd resisted buying this as I thought it was too expensive but after using it I wished I'd bought it ages ago! It's perfect for so much. (Ridiculously inadequate packaging by Amazon meant that it arrived damaged but it's still useable and it hadn't leaked so I kept it.)

Haben die firnis für mein malen nach zahlen( schipper) Bild verwendet.lässt sich gut auftragen.habe dafür einen lackpinsel vom baumarkt verwendet,beim auftragen bildeten sich Luftblasen.weiß nicht ob das am pinsel oder an der firnis liegt.die luftblasen sind aber nach dem trockenen,ca. 24 Stunden,alle verschwunden.die Farben strahlen nach dem auftragen noch mehr.bin sehr zufrieden.kann die firnis weiter empfehlen.
