LOVE the friendly purple glow :)
and... the best part is that it works, just as it ought to!This is the 4th keyboard I have purchased in the past several months. The one which came with my new computer had lettering in gray in a very fine font, almost impossible to see in dim lighting. I replaced it with a Logitech wireless Logitech Wireless Touch Keyboard K400 with Built-In Multi-Touch Touchpad, which I thought would be great as 1: the lettering was higher contrast (white and bolder) and 2. I could hold it where the light was better if need be. It unfortunately had the bad habit of dropping letters, or failing to connect to the dongle/ receiver a few inches away. Since it had been purchased through the warehouse, I thought it was, perhaps, defective and so returned it and replaced it with a new one same model) and same problems, or worse :( For months I have been living with a keyboard which inserts letters, phrases, half sentences in random places, occasionally sending me to a new page.. As others have had positive experiences with that board i tried quite a few things to trouble shoot. Nothing worked so I came back and bought another keyboard, this time opting for a simple wired keyboard with a simple bold font and back lighting (and the option of 3 colors!)The Azio keyboard is usb, plug and play (at least on Windows 7, and likely others). It is full size (actually a bit larger) molded plastic. It is not lightweight, but not solid either (the back is molded) but it feels substantial enough. The action is somewhat light (so those looking for a type writer feel may be disappointed) but it is better than lap top keyboards. I find the shape and small wrist rest work/ feel better than the padded wrist rest I had been using. It has a handful of preprogrammed hot keys (for media, email). There is a key (marked with a light bulb) to change colors and turn the backlighting on and off (does anyone read manuals? in this case a 4x6" quick start guide). It is a simple usb plug and play keyboard with a large back-lit font that is easy to read, and unlike any other keyboard I have seen, it glows purple (unless you prefer red or blue). Unless this fails very quickly, i would turn around and buy another. I am very happy with my purchase and would highly recommend it.SimpleFunctionalReasonably pricedPurple!

Excellent Keyboard for people like me with eye problems.
When I hooked this thing up for the first time, it was like looking at the holy grail of keyboards, actually one that I can see with out squinting or straining. I love it. All three different color lights "Red, Blue & Purple" are nice & bright. I love using this keyboard especially now while watch my projector in the dark because now I can use a keyboard in the dark. Shoot not I can see the key's without straining to see the keys even with light on.Pros: Back light on Keys are very bright & the key's are all big enough to hold that giant letter. The keys are big bright & in your sight. (Smile :-).All three colors are nice, but I prefer the blue the most. Every time that I tried to use the red, I felt like a vampire or evil character from a movie should be probably using this color, so I would always switch back to the blue & the purple is alright (Just joking about the red) it looks actually good. My Mac's & my Windows PC's & Linux boxes all saw it without installing a driver or anything. So the setup was just plug in the USB & then use, that's it. Both shift keys & back space key are regular sized which are a plus nowadays because with these new keyboards they usually shorten the keys & size of keyboard & with this keyboard they did not do that. It feels pretty light in the hands & the build quality seems really good as far as I am concerned, but I am not a picky person.Cons: It was shipped with the air square packing stuff only on the top inside of the package on top of the keyboard which left the back under side & left & right of the keyboard insecure & with a good drop it would have broke because of the packing, but whom ever delivered it was the hero because it came in excellent condition. Now the person who actually packed it up should not ever be packing any again. The only problem that I had was the enter key when I first got it stuck slightly until I used it enough & now the enter key works as smoothly as the rest of the keys.I will be purchasing more of these large key keyboards for my self & telling others that I know that have eye problems like me about this wonderful keyboard. Oh & I almost forgot to tell you that the key on the top right is the key that changes the colors of the keyboard, but that very same key is also the on & off switch for this keyboard & to turn it off all you do is hold the key down for around 3 seconds & then it will cut the light out. If you do not do that, my experience is after you turn off the computer, then the keyboard stays ;lit because all usb is after all is a interface, but with power, so make sure that you turn off the light on this keyboard every time that you turn off the computer or this light will stay on & probably burn out the led's eventually, but not a problem because this very smart company who made this keyboard engineered it with a on & off switch which is rare these days. So yay for the power button :-). Now go get yours.

I Can See!!!
I was primarily looking for a backlit keyboard because I usually work at night in a room that is dimly lit (by preference). As well, I made an effort to find one that was a USB connected as opposed to wireless as I didn't want to deal with any dead battery issues as the keyboard would be connected to my laptop docking station. This keyboard met both criteria. In summary, it turned out to be a pretty good purchase. The construction of the keyboard is similar to that of the Microsoft keyboards I have used in the past. It feels fairly solid and will only flex if you twist it on purpose. The layout of the keys is such that everything is where you expect it to be. Also, you get a choice of 4 backlit colours and more importantly, the light through the keys is fairly consistent throughout all of the keys. The choice of colours is controlled by a switch on the right side of the keyboard. A real nice feature is that you can turn off the backlight as well. This is important in my case because there is constant power to the USB ports on my docking station. Without this feature, the backlight will always be on even when my laptop if off. A quick tape of the LED switch changes the colour and holding it down for couple of seconds turns off the backlight. The large print wasn't really a consideration, but as it turned, out was a nice to have. The letters on the keys are fairly bold and easy to see - great for someone like me that struggles at being a touch typist. As far as personal preference, I would have liked just a bit more resistance to the keys, but their operation is smooth and travel is just right.Installation with my Windows 10 system was easy as no separate installation was required. If I were to make a suggestion, I would have loved the Caps Lock light indicator to the actual Caps Lock key instead of being on the other side of the keyboard (on top of the numeric keypad with the Num and Scroll lock light indicators).

An excellent easy to read keyboard
I have some eyesight problems and as a result of childhood polio I cannot touch type. But this keyboard is an update from my old backlit AZIO keyboard. Easier to use and better key touch feeling
