I have used this daily for about 1 year. It does help with added energy throughout the day. Has zero taste - mix with coffee, juice, protein shake, or preworkout.

From what I understood from my research, this alcar (acetyl-l-carnitine) format has an advantage over l-carnitine because the acetyl makes the molecule accessible to the brain, adding benefits like improved mood and brain functions. Still, l- carnitine in general can be transformed into TMAO (bad! Increases risk of cardiovascular disease) in the gut and it's advised to take it with something like garlic extract to minimize the TMAO formation. Also, the powder has a really bad sour taste, like a spoiled lemonade or something. But I found out that mixing it with some other supplement with sour-ish flavor can easily mask the bad taste. I've been mixing it with a fruit-punch flavored electrolyte powder in cold water and barely feel any sourness. Powder format is cost effective but I'll probably buy it in capsules after I'm done with this container just for more convenience. Anyways, alcar benefits and effectiveness has been well studied and easy to notice how it helps you shed body fat away with some zone-two cardio exercise.

I’ve only been using this for a week or so, so I don’t know what else it does for my body—supposed to lower blood pressure but I don’t know how scientific that study I read was—but it gives me energy to get through the day without ‘energy drinks’; I have to nap when I forget it due to medications I take that cause fatigue. I mix it in water and Stur, a water enhancer made with stevia (I’m diabetic but no one should drink sugar anyway) that I can only find here on Amazon. This product comes with a tiny scoop inside which will last quite awhile using that amount. I don’t even taste the product though it is very salty tasting if you use a spoonful as I did before reading directions and using a fork to search for the scoop. :) I only use it once a day before swimming but it says you can use it twice or thrice daily. Enjoy.

This is the best deal I found on this stuff. Doesn't seem to have much taste and I find that I'm not hungry after taking it, which is good because you need to wait a half hour after taking it to eat. I was eager to see if this would help me to remember more of my dreams, since I read it could have that effect. Sure enough, I remember a lot more. Almost every night I will recall at least one dream, which is very useful if you want to analyze your dreams.
