Juno

Love this film.

One of our favourite films. Super cast, funny, heartfelt and touching.

Great film, quick way to watch this classic.

This is a sweet little film where a teenage kid (Page) gets pregnant (by Cera), and decides to have the child privately adopted (to Jennifer Garner and Jason Bateman), rather than have an abortion.It could be all dark and depressing, but instead it's handled with warmth and humour. The acting is good all round (Page got an Oscar nomination I think), and the story flows well. I would recommend it you think you'd remotely enjoy this sort of thing.

I s'pose you either love it, or you don't - a bit like Marmite. I am a lover of both Marmite and "Juno".It's true - its a feel-good, teen-flick with happy music and a simple yet touching story line. But whats wrong with that? Why do all films need to be serious, violent or action-packed? That was one of the major criticisms that this film suffered from in the reviews after it first came out, but lets be honest - sometimes its nice to just watch a film that makes you feel happy, and reinforces the fact that that the world isn't all death and destruction.This is one of those films, and I love it, and highly recommend it to anyone who wants their faith restored in humanity, or just a good reason to sit down with a big cup of coffee or a tub of ice cream for a couple of hours and watch a great movie.

As I have said in the title of my review, I thought this was a great film, well acted - especially by Ellen Page who played Juno, and also her boyfriend played by Michael Cera who I found pretty adorable. Think the issue of teen pregnancy was tackled really well and it worked, and although it was about teen pregnancy (and also partly about a couple who have been longing to have a baby - well the mother anyway), I didn't find this film depressing really, except that I thought there were a few "nearly dodgy" moments when I felt a little uncomfortable when Juno was spending time with the husband of the adopting couple which in a way nearly changed the whole ethos of the film for me, but thankfully it didn't go where I thought it might be going - what a relief!). But for the most part, it was still fun and upbeat. Defintely would recommend this.

Enjoyed rewatching this after many years, this time with my teenage daughter. Great film.

How well i remember my first love, my first kiss, my first fumbled glimpse at the awe-inspiring mystery that is love, but all of this will never compare to the memory of the day this product fell through my letterbox and changed my existance forever. It came in ggreat condition and arrived fairly quickly. Should Nibiru, or Planet X, as it is known, come colliding into the Earth in 2012 I will care not a jot, I will be happily watching this dvd as the earthquakes rage and tidal waves come carreering towards me. I may perish, we all may perish, but at least I will die whole again and not the empty shell of a man that for so long I have been.

Una película que envejece bien.

Film originale, istruttivo, intelligente e con un bel ritmo narrativo. Fa riflettere ...

Great movie!

A première vue on pense que c'est du revu et revu au cinéma. L'ado qui tombe enceinte nous a déjà été servie avec son surcroit de cliché mais ici il n'en est pas question. Le film se veut vrai, les personnages sont criant de vérité et attachant, que ce soient les ados ou les adutles.Les clichés ne sont pas de la partie (enfin !), le sujet sérieux est abordé avec simplicité et sérieux mais ne prend jamais au sérieux, il n'y a pas de moralisation à outrance.Et que dire de l'excellente Ellen page, elle sublime le personnage de part sa justesse de jeu, je conseille d'ailleurs de le regarder en VO pour savourer pleinement son talent. Les autres acteurs ne sont pas en reste notamment Jennifer Garner qui bénéfice d'un rôle dans lequel on a pas l'habitude de la voir, elle est très touchante.Un film qui mérite sont succès et qu'il faut au moins avoir vu une fois dans sa vie à défaut de l'avoir dans sa dvdthèque.

Das Thema "Schwangerschaft mit 16" kennen wir zur Genüge - es gibt zig Filme und noch mehr Bücher dazu. Aber "Juno" ist absolut einmalig.Von einem ganz anderen Blickwinkel aus wird dieses Thema betrachtet, denn Juno ist eigenwillig, selbstbewusst und garantiert nicht auf den Mund gefallen. Sie beschließt das Kind zu bekommen und sucht sich Adoptiveltern. Nicht zu vergessen der Junge - der Vater des Kindes - der verrückt nach Juno ist.So viel zum Inhalt. Hört sich in einer Beschreibung vielleicht abgedroschen an - ist es aber nicht. Der ganze Film kommt ohne schnulziges Gehabe, Überdramatik und seichte Szenen aus - selten genug bei solchen Filmen - und das obwohl auch die Liebe hier nicht zu kurz kommt. Die Dialoge sind unglaublich geistreich, spritzig und raffiniert. Die Charaktere wortgewandt und selbstbewusst und vor allem sind sie alle sehr liebenswert und besonders (ob das jetzt Junos Vater, ihre Stiefmutter, die beste Freundin oder der Freund ist). Und man kommt den ganzen Film nicht aus dem Lachen heraus.Dass der Soundtrack ebenfalls spritzig und perfekt gewählt ist, noch so nebenbei.Fazit: Eine geistreiche, witzige - "Komödie" ist beinahe schon zu lapidar - Verfilmung eines ernsten Themas. Ein Film über ein Mädchen, das zwischen Kind sein und erwachsen werden hin und herschankt, ein Film, der an den Lachmuskeln zehrt und den man sofort direkt ins Herz schließt.
