Yes, it's a standard 1/4 inch jack.

Yes, it is possible. LX61+ has full size keys so you can become familiar with the correct key dimensions. However, you do not have the 'piano action' found on real pianos, which is important in playing piano with full expression. Also maybe you know this, but maybe not, the LX61+ does not produce any sound by itself, you would need to hook it up to a computer running music software with some software instruments, and of course some speakers or headphones.
