Calm & Relaxed, Complete Grain Free Dry Dog Food, Turkey and Sweet Potato, 10kg

I have a working dog who by nature can be a bit of a clown at times & acts like a kid with ADHD, so sugary, high carbohydrate foods can make him a bit over enthusiastic at times. I was recommended to try l-tryptophan a few years back & after a couple of months on it, i noticed his attention span was longer & he was less easily distracted. Also, he gets digestive problems when fed food full of grain. I switched to Pooch & Mutt 2 years ago & he’s been great. His coat is shiny, his weight is ideal & everyone comments on how great he looks for his age. He doesn’t need much of it each day so cost-wise it works out cheaper per month than the previous food i bought. He hasn’t had any digestion problems since we switched & I’m confident that the ingredients in it are good quality. I don’t think it has quite as much calming effect as the l-tryptophan supplement he was on previously so i add a little of that into his diet when he starts getting a bit distracted again, but on the whole, just buying this food instead of a food plus supplement has saved me a lot of money. He loves the taste and never leaves anything in the dish. Pricewise, it’s usually cheaper to buy from Amazon than to buy direct from the company and the delivery is faster. My dog weighs 30kg & this 10kg bag lasts him approximately 6 weeks. I think that for a good quality food, that is good value for money.

Excellent product, speedy delivery.

This food is fantastic at calming the demons in my border collie's mind. She is a head case with extreme anxiety. She's highly reactive, and cannot cope with strangers, unknown dogs, more than one thing happening nearby, cars or unexpected movement. After 3 years trying every training technique (terrified of the clicker, not interested in treats or toys), compression vest, hoodie etc she'd reached the point where she would launch an attack on my other dog (very patient and tolerant mastiff cross) at every opportunity. My vet prescribed selgian to increase serotonin production and that was simply a miracle in tablet form. She still hates certain sounds, she's still very needy and she still struggles to read body language but she is now able to control her emotional response in conjunction with her training, she doesn't just react. Selgian is rather expensive though so I continued to hunt a sustainable alternative. I found it in pooch and mutt. I can tell by her behaviour the days she's swapped bowls with my other dog and not had her daily dose of pooch and mutt. I've started to give her her main meal in the morning so she's happy throughout the day rather than getting the good stuff before bed. In terms of nutrition, she likes the flavour and she doesn't react badly to it despite having sensitivities with some brands in the past. Only downside is she has gained some weight since starting on it but only a little and it's a small price to pay.

My dog loves this food, we wanted to try as he is very hyperactive, we thought we would try the calm and relaxed to see if it would assist with his hyperactivity and over excitement baring in mind he also gets plenty of exercise, however he is exactly the same, I still want to say it is a great food, he seems happy and healthy on this, and cleans the bowl!

Good service ..excellent product

I have a spaniel (if you know you know) and I have noticed a huge difference in his behaviour after buying this food. He doesn’t have anxiety or stress but he is just SO excitable like he gets beside himself with excitement at the merest of things and is also very difficult to keep entertained for a long time. Since using this food his manic energy seems to have been cut in half, he’s no longer pestering me all day to play with him even after a long walk and he generally seems so much chiller and happier. Love it, will be keeping him on this for the foreseeable.

My cockapoo is healthy, bright eyed and bushy tailed. She enjoys this food with a tiny bit of wet food underneath for a bit of extra flavour. Her poop is always healthy and I buy the big 10kg packs as they are far better value. I mix this up with another leading brand in various flavours.

Firstly, whatever you do do not take out a subscription for this item; we are now locked into a never ending attempt by Amazon to keep delivering bags of this food even though we cancelled the subscription, so, by now we'd have a house full of the stuff. That said it's a good product but we'll be buying it elsewhere in future.

Gut verträgliches Futter

I wasn’t totally convinced that this food was providing a calming effect for my anxious dog… but we have been buying it anyway for the last ~6 months. Then we forgot to order his food on time and have had to blend it with another food, about 1/2 and 1/2 until his order arrives. Once we started diluting his food, he started whining in the car, when driving to the place we throw a frisbee for him, and being very reactive to anyone walking on the street when we are driving. Whereas he had been very calm and controlled before. So, I can now say, without a doubt, that this food does provide a calming effect and changes our very reactive cattle dog into a clam and much more controllable animal. Also, our dog likes the flavor of the food, so there’s not an issue with feeding. Very highly recommended if your dog is overly reactive. It may take about a week of regular feeding to build up in their system, but we won’t be letting his food run out again! Now we have a subscription!

Mein Hund isst dieses Trockenfutter sehr sehr gern. Ich gebe ihm es seit einem Jahr. Es gibt keine Komplikationen.

Meine Dobermannhündin leidet an zahlreichen Unverträglichkeiten. Bisher hatte sie nur Lamm vertragen, aber sie verträgt dieses Futter auch. Nur kann ich nicht sagen, dass es beruhigende Eigenschaften hat.
