It works just like the original that came with the black and decker Dustbuster
I was so sad when my puppy ate the cord to my Dustbuster and had to sit there and ending up being more dusty than anything around it until I bought this cord and it worked and charged it up. I got the dust bust everything and I was a happy, happy girl
