This world that has been created for a debut novel is so detailed, you really feel like you know everything about the characters and the lives they live. That’s no easy feat for mafia but all the rules and things they’re bound to are so clear and it makes reading that much easier because you understand their motives for events that happen. Really got sucked in from the get go!Caleb had me from the moment I met him. His layers beneath that bad boy image he portrays were spot on! He’ll forever be my fave mafia boy!I felt for Jordin and everything that she goes through, it truly is a rollercoaster but one that she handles really well tbh.There’s so much to this book. If you like mafia, found family, friendship banter, suspense and spice and emotion then pick this up!!I can’t wait to read book 2!

Book was really good and the plot was well thought out. Reason for 4 stars was because of the numerous spelling and grammatical errors. Sentences appearing half finished or words cut off made for a poor read.I hope so thing terrible happens to Ian and he’s gone before the wedding. Colt is annoying and i can’t stand him.Im very excited to read saint and lexys story the angst between them two is coming across very well.Jordon and Caleb make a great couple and I hope everything works out for them

What a read! So many highs and lows, it really was a rollercoaster of a ride.The chemistry and tension between Jordin and Caleb was burn the page scorching. They literally are perfect together. My heart broke for Caleb and few times, same with Jordin. And of course a few twists and turns chucked in for good measure. Such a great read and I'm glad I finally got round to reading these books !

Just finished this book and certainly worth the read. This story will bring you in and keep engrossed till the end its not a stand alone but thats ok as im so looking forward to continuing this story and finding out how this plays out for the characters

This is the debut novel from D.M Roberts, and my god - I was not expecting this to absolutely consume me from the moment I picked it up.The story follows Jordin and Caleb, it's an enemies to lovers with mafia undertones throughout the book. There's a few twists that I didn't see coming in the book, but be prepared to be completely shocked by a few of them! Jordin and Caleb don't start off on the best of terms, hence the enemies to lovers, but once these two get going... Just know the smut is completely on point.This does end in a cliffhanger, and I will be impatiently waiting to find out what happens to Jordin and Caleb.

I’m not a massive reader but this book has leave me wanting so much more. Counting down the days for book 2 !!

I read this in one sitting because I couldn’t put it down. The book starts with Caleb who is best friends with saint who happens to be the son a mafia boss. They get sent to do a job only to find someone only it’s not who they thought it was. The ploy kept me hooked and the smut was on point. I will be patiently waiting for book 2

This is DM Roberts debut and I am blown away. We are thrown straight into learning about the boys. Saint, Caleb & Colton. Colton wasnt that big in this one and I wasnt his fan. Saint and Caleb though.. Saint is the heir to the Garo family. Caleb is his best friend. All 3 boys are part of the family business (They’re Mafia). They get some intel on the rival family and need to learn more..Jordin Richmond and her family have just moved to town. Jordins first meeting with the boys doesnt go well, nor the second. On her first day of school she learns shes pissed off the boys that rule there.This is a bully romance, academic setting with a mafia twist. The boys are toxic, dangerous, powerful, unapologetic and cruel. Jordin isnt a push over though, she is feisty and strong (but is vulnerable behind closed doors). She meets Lexy, Saints soon to be stepsister and their friendship is beautiful. They build each other up and support each other. Jordin wasnt in the best place when she left her old town and they were exactly what the other needed.Caleb is pretty much smitten with Jordin from the start, but in a bad boy way. Hes possessive and gives us those touch her and dîé growly vibes. His growth throughout the book was amazing. I loved how he softened for her but still kept part of who he was. “Grab the headboard”.. the pull they have towards each other is magnetic. The chemistry is incredible. They both fight the attraction but neither can. When they come together, damn, the spice was naughty. They ruined each other!! I want more!! Did I cry? Ofcourse I did. Caleb completely stole my heart and I had to put this down at 90% because I was too scared to finish it. The ending, I am so mad but it sets up the next book perfectly. It wasnt a cliffhanger as such because it had to play out this way. But I am ready for book 2 now please?
