Does anyone have issue with the power button not lit? My blender is brand new but it wont turn on. Any specific troubleshooting?

It should turn on without a problem, check to see if you have it plugged in to a GFCI outlet? If so, it might be too much power for that outlet. Good Luck.

Does the pitcher keeps odors?

Not that I've noticed. I don't store with the lid on either.
