There's a couple easy ways to test if it's silicone. Try applying a drop of silicone caulk to the clean surface. Give it about 4 hours to dry and then peel it off. Silicone caulk bonds strongly with silicone, not other rubber formulations. Second, you can try to dissolve it in acetone. Acetone eats rubber and most other plastics, but doesn't touch silicone.

It never said on the site, and I looked, but it is made in China!
