Update: Great product & support [Orig: Nice features, but the buttons do not respond properly]
Updated review: After posting my original review, the seller quickly contacted me to solve the problem by sending me a replacement item, which they did quickly and free of charge. The replacement's buttons work normally and I am very pleased with the product now amd even happier with the seller's customer service.[Original review: This product would be great if the buttons responded properly. Since they do not respond well, it is almost impossible to navigate through the menus.]

Best I've ever owned. Just PLEASE don't attempt to recharge NON-RECHARGEABLE batteries!
NOTE: I paid for this, it was not provided to me for free, and I am not receiving any compensation of any kind for my time and effort to share this experience and perspective with you.First - To be clear, rechargeable battery chargers are for charging RECHARGEABLE batteries ONLY.If it doesn't say "RECHARGEABLE" on the battery, don't put it in this or any other charger! You could start a fire! And please note: this icon ♻ means RECYCLABLE, not rechargeable.I'm saying this because there was a video review of someone who did exactly that.. They tried to charge ordinary single use alkaline batteries and of course it ended badly. The batteries in that video were clearly NON-RECHARGEABLE and it's unfortunate if it scared anyone away from this charger, because it is the best charger I've ever encountered. Why?It's FASTIt has a color display screen that shows the status and info of each battery you've insertedIt plays a beep to let you know you've inserted the battery correctlyIt plays a different beep whenever a connected battery becomes completely chargedAnd the beeps are not annoying - it's not just a piezo high pitched ear damaging squeak.. It's a pleasant, low volume sound.Of course it also has a status light above every battery slot.Unlit means not insertedOrange is chargingGreen is chargedAnd the huge one I bought has a usb-c port for applying firmware updates so any bugs can be fixed and new features can also be added over time, like support for new battery types not yet released..Bravo.

Not safe. Cooks batteries.
Not safe. Worked well for 2 months and then started cooking the [NiMH] batteries it was charging. The batteries got so hot they were too hot to hold. Happened with several different sets of batteries in different states of charge and health. Power-cycled the charger but it still did it. Wanted to like it. Really liked the display with all of the info. Although would like better documentation on the various modes it supports. Anyway... I don't recommend this item.

Good feature set without a lot of fluff
Seems to do a good job of analyzing and charging my batteries and reports out the mAh of each cycle which is nice for matching my cells. I was surprised that it can actually discharge even a full complement of 8 batteries in a reasonable time -- the chassis manages to move enough heat to get the job done.I love the USB-C power input! The cord and connector of the future. The touch-style "buttons" on this unit are the weakest point. They work OK but you can't press them multiple times quickly. This is frustrating because the "exit" command is at the END of the menu -- after the brightness adjustment, self-test, and version check. You have to slowly click through the whole menu just so you can exit it, which is annoying. I hope they move the Exit command to the very top in a future firmware update.

Awesome battery charger!
This is the best most high tech, best built, more feature rich battery charger I have ever owned. Use it with a USB QC 2.0 or better based power supply for 18Watts of charging. More than capable of charging NiMH as fast as they can be without overheating. If you run AAs and want to charge more than 1AMP (I think this goes up to 2 amps) it will cause the batteries to get really hot. I put a fan on it if I want to charge that fast otherwise I just set it for 0.5A and it works totally fine.

No Quality Control
Looked like a cool product, but there is no quality control. Functionally, only about half of the chargining bays worked when I received it. You can move a battery from one bay to the other and it will start charging. The most annoying thing is the super high pitched noise coming from the unit. Any time it is powered on. It is so annoying you can barely think while it is charging.I tried to update the firmware and it recognizes the unit and that there is a newer firmware version, but the update fails every time I try it.I do not recommend this product.

Good charger, poor analyzer
I bought this specifically to use with NiZn batteies. It does work great as a charger. The "Analyze" mode does charge, discharge, then recharge, as it should. The problem is that it only shows total discharge A*h while discharging. Once it turns the corner it starts showing accumulated + charge A*h. To measure true battery capacity you need to integrate the discharge, not the charge. Further, it only shows A*h, which is an approximation. To determine true discharged capacity it should show W*h. I am hopeful that the manufacturer will fix these shortcomings with a firmware update.I can work around the Analyze problem by just running discharge, noting the numbers at completion, then switching to charge. Still only A*h, though. The little voltage graph is cute, but not really useful. Getting rid of it would make room for more useful parameters. There is a bit of a learning curve. For example it took me a while to realize that the LEDs next to the batteries change color to show what each is doing. They have a color code scheme in the manual. Once I figured out the menu and touch buttons it was very easy to use.The charger does disipate heat much better if you stand it on edge.

Great charger.
I use it in the church to charge batteries into radio microphones. I set the charging of 0.1 A in the settings. This allows you to use batteries for a very long time, do not kill them. I use the brand Japanese Envelope Black 2600. I really like the design. Everything else is as usual.
