onlyfire BRK-6012 Universal Gas Grill Rotisserie Kit, 12x12 mm heavy duty Hexagon Spit Rod, 114cm long, Electric Motor for UK

I needed this for my masonry built charcoal barbecue. The brackets included were just right as supports to fit on the sides (they come with nuts and bolts to fit on the sides of a metal unit too). The spit rod is in two sections, which screw well together. Unfortunately, half the rod (57cm) was way too short to span the barbecue area and the full length (114cm) just too long to fit into the external walls of my set up, so I had to do some amateur metalwork with hacksaw and file to cut down one of the rod sections by 10 cm. The filed down end slots just fine into the motor. I guess I'll have to guard against rust, since it's no longer chromed at that end. The equipment is very well made, with a decent chrome finish. The heavy duty rod is rock solid, the forks are rigid and the chunky counterweight easy to fit and adjust, which is essential for large pieces of meat. The motor is pretty well silent. I spit two legs of lamb for an hour and a half to perfection, with little tending other than adding some fresh hot charcoal half way through and basting towards the end. The kit is easy to use and to dismantle, clean and store afterwards. It feels like it will last many years.

We recently bought a Scandinavian BBQ hut which comes with a monster BBQ pit. I looked around and decided to give this Rotisserie Kit a go as it looked the sturdiest; I have not been disappointed. It came well packed and was easy to put together. The main spindle is very thick and has so far held 3lbs of meat without issue. One point you do need to watch is that when you stop/start the motor, it changes direction which can (as we found out) sometimes unscrew the second bit of the spindle so just be aware! Otherwise, this is a fantastic bit of kit which is very easy to operate, easy to clean (dishwasher safe apart from the motor of course!) and gives a fantastic flavour to meats being quietly (and it is quiet) turned over hot coals. If you need something heavy duty then this is it!

A great bit of kit. It's far too long for my Napoleon 425, but it doesn't matter. The motor is very quiet and after switching the motor off and restarting the motor reverses. The wing nuts that hold the prongs in place are a bit fiddly and I will probably replace them with stainless steel hex head bolts allowing me to use a hex "T" bar to tighten them up. I bought this knowing it wouldn't fit the sides of the BBQ and that I would have to make some brackets to attach it, this took me a a couple of hours to do. Since installing on the BBQ I have cooked pork, a leg of lamb, 2 chickens and a turkey successfully. What a great addition to my BBQ. If your buying one, make sure it fits your BBQ or you will have a bit of DIY to do.

I have a Masterbuilt Smoke Hollow 36" charcoal BBQ and wanted to add a Rotisserie kit to it. I scoured the internet to find one that was long enough to suit, and came across this item. It fitted easily (I had to drill 4 small holes) and is a doddle to use. It is really sturdy and a quality piece of kit. I used it for the first time to cook a large piece of pork. Two and a half hours later and I had a beautiful and tender joint with crispy cracking. Immense!! Would recommend.

Real quality product, feels heavy and strong. Nothing beats this way of cooking my food! 5 star product!

Great product

Fantastic. A great weight item, that filled me with confidence the steel bar / Spit would stand up the the heat and weight of cooking. I used it this weekend to cook two large chickens. Perfect. The only thing I am going to do is purchase a second pair of fork tines if I can as I had to tie the chickens together on my 1st go. I feel a pair of tines per bird would have been better. I am so happy with the outcome though I'm looking forward to next weekend when I can cook a pork joint 😁.

Well built, quality parts and very quiet motor. Unfortunately it supplied bracket nor optional universal bracket doesn’t fit my Rogue series (625SE) Grill. Theres no way for bushing and spit rod to sit into the Napoleon grill notches and allow full closure of the grill. Unfortunately I had to return and purchase an original Napoleon rotisserie which although much more expensive and not seemingly better built, Fits perfectly. Will still purchase onlyfire products and rotisserie accessories in future based on my impression of the quality of the products received.

Says 240 volt but comes as 120volt.
