Buy it! You won’t regret it!
Wish I got it YEARS ago! I have always had heavy periods and thought I was stuck with ultra tampons and the largest pads to attempt to absorb my heavy days. I would bleed through ultra tampons and the largest pads quickly and in the mornings when I would wake up the heaviest pads couldn’t absorb how fast I was bleeding so it would be a mad dash to the bathroom. I would have to stay home on my heavy days because I would constantly have leaks and have to change my pants despite wearing the largest pads and tampons. I also didn’t like the toxins in tampons. This is my second cycle using my Nixit and I have so much freedom. You don’t even feel you have it in during the day/night. On my light days I empty every 10-12 hrs. I can wear my normal underwear and don’t have to fear about wearing light colored pants on heavy days. I no longer have to race to the bathroom when I wake up or sleep with a towel under me. I have a tilted uterus and don’t have any issues. You can have mess free sex with it though both my husband and I felt it during sex.All in all definitely recommend to all my friends! I don’t absolutely dread having my period now! Buy it!!

Convenience of a cup without the discomfort of suction
Good alternative to cup.The learning curve is a bit steeper than a cup, and I’ve had a few more mishaps than with a cup. However, the suction of cups was causing some issues so I had to switch.

Hard to use and expensive!
I wanted to love and use a reusable menstrual product, but the Nixit isn't it. It's expensive and hard to use. If you dont get the angle right during insertion you can hit your cervix and it sits there. Also times when I thought I had it right I still felt a little lip hanging and couldn't push it up under your pubic bone any further as they say to do. I tried every position possible, watched tons of videos and for the life of me I couldn't get it to work. So wasted money because it's only a 30 day window for returns and I wanted to give it a try for at least 2 of my periods. I reached out to Nixit company to see if they could give me any tips and they just sent me the same videos I watched over and over again. I was disappointed because people said to reach out and they'll give personalize advice that didn't happen especially when I said I watched every video they put out and what my issue was. So maybe it'll work for you if you're super experienced with reusable products and know how to insert without issues, if not try something else. This disk is very big too. As for me, i don't want to waste any more money on reusable products that may or may not work. It's expensive upfront with the actual product and then cleaning supplies (I refuse to use a pot I use to cook and eat food to clean something I use for my period, if you're fine with that then I guess it's cheaper). Also I'm plus size so don't know if this has something to do with my issues, so plus size ladies know you may have trouble with insertion and keeping it there.

Halle-*******-lujah…a disc for the ‘tilted’!!
Timing wise, I knew my period would bleed into my upcoming Cancún birthday trip (le sigh). So I reluctantly opted to resume my quest for a tampon alternative *bitterly scowls at ever-mounting collection of failed cup$ and disc$*. Because I’m tilted, none of them ever worked for me, even the ones that squeezed in some “works for tilted folks!” marketing copy. I would ALWAYS leak. Some of these contraptions even got stuck in me and had a scary suction effect.Frustrated, I threw in the towel and went back to my ‘menstrual stack’ of pads and tampons. ‘Guess I’m just not a cup girl’, I thought. Six months passed after my last venture and with my trip coming up, thought I would scope the scene again.I googled cups for women with unique uterus designs and found a blog post on Nixit’s website. The price was a bit steep, but not buying my cotton combo would make up for the cost in less than 2 months (Cora’s are my go-to and a variety box isn’t cheap). Plus the blog post featured real women detailing how they made the disc work. It was enough to give me hope so I went for it.The instructions suggest to practice on a non-period day or a light day, but I never did. Along with a pad, I boldly wore the cup on the 7 hour international flight through 2 airports, the 30 min shuttle to the resort, guest onboarding and the golf cart ride to our room. When I finally got to the bathroom I checked my pad…Not one. single. drop. On the heaviest day of my flow.I was so happy, I actually welled up. This cup made my period an afterthought while I swam, sunbathed, even went snuba diving in the ocean at an adventure waterpark (read: it was a 12 hour day). Who knows, maybe it even prevented a shark attack (but probably not because sharks have amazing senses). Anywho, I have all my limbs and bummer birthday averted!I’m not saying it’ll work for everyone, but if my story resonates, it might be worth a go.
