Stephen King's Thinner [DVD]

Absolutely one of King’s best novels. An easy read but gruesome in parts. Horror thriller and good characters that hook you in.

Many adaptations of King don't cut the mustard but Tom Holland's is faithful to the book and a joy to watch. It's always almost impossible to sympathise with a lawyer and that's the central issue with this one - as he remains a nasty piece of work, but the darkness of King's vision, that he would rather continue bent on his course for revenge rather than save his family is worthy of early Amicus or Clive Barker. Yes, the twist in the tale is pretty obvious but it's all faithful to the material. The fat suit and subsequent slimming down was well achieved and Joe Mantegna gives his best 'Fat Tony' impression. If you liked the book you won't be disappointed (it could have gone even darker though), if you didn't, you won't. It's no Misery or Shining, but it's no Dolores Clairborne either thank God. Enjoy Irresponsibly.

a cracking little horror movie laced with a little black comedy that looks and sounds great in HDand bought for great price.

Watched it years ago had to get it on DVD (A little dated but still enjoyable)

King does it well and this movie is really well done compared to some of the other movies from SK's books and this one seems to stay well within the confines of putting a book into a movie.....some do not work at all, but this one I can say I will be watching it over and again.

stephen king thinner,is my favour stephen king film,and i have seen lots of his film,love everything about this film,been waiting for years for this film to come onto dvd over here then one i spotted it and got it,i rate this film 10/10,the best stephen king love it

It was the most interesting film i've ever seen.The film keeps you very uptight and tense and is full of action.It is the best dvd i've ever seen and a lot of imagination went into it.
