This is a staple in my house for treats.For the puppies and the kitties. They will do anything for the vital freeze, dried chicken hearts and I mean anything. Good breakability - it's very easy to break it up into smaller pieces for the kitty cats, the ingredients being a one ingredient is very reassuring. It is certainly a favorite in my house. Five paws.

When I tell you that my cats turn into little vicious monsters when I pull these out, I mean it. These are their favorite little treats ever. They are just freeze dried chicken hearts, they weren’t drained of blood so they still had freeze dried/dehydrated blood flakes on the inside and I think that is why they like them so much. It lets them be true carnivores. They are a little big for one kitty so I always cut them in half so they don’t choke on them. Believe me, if you have a gremlin cat that thinks they’ve never been fed, you need to cut these in half. On of mine tried to swallow it whole so the other couldn’t steal it. Cut. Them. Up. But they are incredible quality. They look exactly like the picture. They are thick treats and you can tell they are quality by the smell and color. They look vibrant, they smell like real meat.

These are safe for kitties, it’s the same products as what is marketed for cats and at a very slightly better value when purchased in this size. Which for me, is great because I care for 7 cats and feed 8 daily! I personally appreciate that these have some oils still left in them after being freeze dried. I know that is gross to some folks but to me that means the product is quality and fresh. I have to cut them up for my kitties into bite size pieces, so the oils come out and get on my fingers a bit. This doesn’t bother me, I think because I’m personally not eating the product, and my kitties absolutely love them. They are thick and chewy so it takes my kitties a while to much one down completely but they can and certainly have. I have tried other brands of chicken hearts, this has been my favorite. I wish there was a bulk size option for multi-pet homes but this size bag can last me a good while, I go through 2-3 a day. Great product!

I bought these for another pet years ago and glad to have stumbled across them on here. My cat and dog love them. My cat has to have hers broken down because she’s a diva. But if she even thinks she hears the bag rustling, she’s flying through the house

These chicken heart treats are a huge hit with my dog! I love that they’re single ingredient and high in protein. They’re crunchy, fresh, and perfect for training or a healthy snack. Bit pricey though.

UPDATE: July 2025, I received this product like usual and all the dogs that ate them got sick. I realize it is also the time of year, but that has never been an issue before. Maybe they were old? or MAYBE these chicken hearts are coming from VAXXED animals now - which seems to be the rage and I do NOT agree with. But something was definitely off with the bag. I have since cancelled my subscription for this and have NOT bought anymore. I HAVE BOUGHT a DEHYDRATOR so I can make my own treats now and AVOID VAXXED animals by buying choice meats. News flash - my dogs are extremely healthy and loving it. Glad I found this brand of freeze-dried Raw Chicken Hearts. They smell fresh compared to other popular brands and all my dogs love this brand. Small bag however and with several dogs, it doesn't last long. So I find this item to be a bit pricey. Because they are fresher, they are not so dehydrated or tough. The hearts cut easily as I have little dogs and want to stretch them out. All my dogs can chew this brand well, even the older one with limited teeth. They are the right size too for chicken hearts, just saying. Overall, this is a very healthy, nutritious treat and I feel good giving it to them. Seems to keep their coats shiny. Great value for the price, just a bit pricey.

Not exactly sure why these are such an amazing price right now ($14.49) as they regularly sell for $26 but my two bags arrived today. I immediately ordered two more at the same price. I have five cats who are crazy about these! Can confirm the correct size bag did show up. (3.75oz) Best before 2026.

While this says it's for dogs, I found it absolutely fine for cats too, and it's a much better bang for your bucks that the pricier, smaller "cat" bags (I do cut it in smaller pieces tho, and pour warm water over the bits to soften them). My cat goes absolutely NUTS over these chicken hearts, so I'm guessing the flavor is pretty good for pets.
