Great fabric, good protection with the plastic insert
Ordered this as an upgrade. Have a youth hockey player who plays D who is starting to body block a lot of shots so the plastic insert is much better that the fabric only model he's been wearing. Also, with the recent extremely sad loss of a professional player in the UK to a neck cut, I wanted to add the bib component to increase overall coverage. The neck guard is high quality, I was impressed and tried it on myself - super comfy. Son liked it too, and was happy about the plastic insert. We are excited to see how it performs on ice. He was not keen to get something with a bib but because of the other features he was willing to wear it. Sizing true. Got the S/M for slim-regular 12 year old.

Better than Bauer or CCM
This neck guard is awesome. Sizing is correct. Plenty of room to grow for kids. I have three that play and wanted a better option than the non-bib standard neck guards for them. This one has built in impact protection and has a bib so it stays where it needs to. I tested one on a pair of fresh skates and after a few good slashes it didn’t penetrate. Beats the brands you find in the local pro shop

Fits well, but can twist if not on tight and the bib can pop out from under your shoulder pads.Hope to never find out how well it works

Great purchase
Purchased this product for my son while he plays ice hockey. He likes the bib feature that tucks under his pads. I like the extra protection of impact and cut resistance. Would recommend highly if you have a little one that plays ice hockey.

More protection
I feel more confident with this neck guard than any others I found in stores that only have fabric and cotton batting protection. The removable silicone insert feels a lot safer. My 7 year old says it's comfortable and it dries fast.

Safety 1st
This is the only neck guard I found that has a plastic insert to protect from puck impact and not just for cuts. My son wears it all the time and he's happy with it. More expensive than a regular neck guard, but safety 1st
