Really nice shoes, the pair I had were returned due to a manufacturing fault. The steel cap was misshapen! but nice, lightweight safety shoes.

These are the most comfortable work shoes I have had in many years. Buying shoes online is usually a gamble as far as fit is concerned but these fit just as I hoped they would. They don't pinch or slob, they're not narrow and don't rub anywhere. The wider fitting makes it particularly comfortable for my foot and will be able (for me) to accommodate a thicker sock.The shoe is sturdily-built, with an anthracite nubuck leather upper and steel toecaps, just right for when I'm chopping the wood or encouraging the staff. The rim between the upper and the sole is a discreet grey. The flat, grey and yellow diagonally-striped laces are plenty long enough and the eyelets are reinforced. The tongue of the shoe is held snug to the foot by a short length of elastic on either side, which secures in place within the main construction seam of the shoe. I am not aware of this elastic when wearing the shoe. All seams are double stitched.The ankle line is low so that there is no fear of being rubbed round the ankle or at the back of the heel. There is padding round the ankle and on the tongue. Whilst these are sold as men's shoes they are equally suitable wear for any woman who needs a strong, robust shoe. The line of the shoe is not visually heavy or masculine. The grip on wet floors or paving is excellent; I am all-round delighted with these shoes.
