WiCub WiFi Wireless Hygrometer - Humidity & Temperature Monitoring Smart Sensor with Alerts

I rent an apartment that does not have a thermostat. Heating is controlled by programming the timer to start and stop heating. Because I travel a lot, I turn the timer off but I don't want my pipes to burst if it gets very cold. (I have family that I can call to come over and turn my heating on.) So I needed something that I could use that could alert me to cold weather via the internet. This little WiCub is the gem.Once a day I am emailed a report from the WiCub showing my temperature and humidity for every 15 minute interval over the previous 24 hours. And the WiCub will send you an alert if the temperature or humidity exceeds your alerts for high/low temperature or humidity.The setup is easy but if you need more help, there are videos that show you everything you need to do to setup and operate the WiCub. And if you need more help, their support staff is excellent.You can put the WiCub anywhere you want, it's tiny. For comparison see the attached photo with the WiCub next to a Next Camera. The WiCub connects to your home LAN. Just make sure that where you place your WiCub that your WiFi signal will reach it. If the WiCub can't connect to your LAN, you will have to move it closer to your router.The WiCub uses 2 AAAA batteries [yes 4 A's]. These batteries will last about 12-18 months. I change them out whenever I go away for a few months but the daily temperature/humidity email that WiCub sends you includes the current WiFi strength and remaining battery power in volts. Just change them out when the voltage drops below 2.5v.I've been using the WiCub for nearly two years. It has never not worked. It is reliable and accurate. This little IoT device is worth every penny.

A little fiddly to set up in terms of having to view leds for status that are partly obscured by case, but once you get the hang of it then it works well.I tried it at home first, and then relocated to boat which is where I wanted it; had to reset the device when moving it to connect to a new WiFi.I get a daily email with temperature and humidity which gives me the reassurance I need.Useful and functional, just need to get the hang of set up.

Worked straight out of the box, and was easy to set up. I use it to monitor a holiday let which is empty some of the times and it is doing the job. Very pleased.

We purchased one of these for our server room. It emails reports daily for a month then stops. We then have to reset the device for it to start emailing again. They have kindly offered to send out a replacement for us to test to rule out any connectivity issues. As this is a great product, if the problem is resolved I will gladly rate it 5 starts for ease of use and customer support.Update - Problem seems to have been resolved by replacement. Excellent support and I highly recommend this product.

Das Gerät macht genau das was es soll. Es war einfach zu installieren. Ja, die Gebrauchsanweisung ist sehr klein gedruckt, dafür aber sehr kurz gehalten. Das sehe ich positiv. Das Gerät bietet nur die wichtigsten Einstellungen, aber das reichte bei mir aus. Dafür ist es sehr einfach und funktioniert sofort. Die Konfiguration ist ziemlisch schlau gelöst. Man verbindet das Gerät via dem Wlan des Geräts mit dem Smartphone und stellt damit alle nötigen Einstellungen ein. Man gibt dem Gerät die Zugangsdaten zum Wlan des Gebäudes und das Gerät startet sofort, die Temperatur und Luftfeuchtigkeit aufzuzeichnen und wie angegeben per Email zu versenden. Zu Beginn sendet das Gerät 5 Emails als Test. Danach sendet es täglich eine Email. Es sei denn, die Alarmwerte werden überschritten, dann sendet das Gerät die Email sofort. Ich habe es jetzt seit 3 Tagen im Einsatz und bin sehr zufrieden.

Eccellente sensore soprattutto per la durata (dichiarata) della batteria: 18 mesi contro i 4-6 della concorrenza (di 20€ più economica), utile se abitate lontano dal punto di misurazione.Unica pecca, le temperature vengono inviate via email ogni 24h (solo gli allarmi vengono inviati in tempo reale), non c'è app e non è possibile accedere in tempo reale come altre apparecchiature che misurano anche luminosità e vibrazioni. A voi la scelta.

J'ai acheté ce produit, pour avoir la température de la pièce principale de ma maison, directement sur mon ordinateur, de préférence avec une courbe de suivi, dans le but d'optimiser mon chauffage.J'ai commencé le 25/10/2019 et j'ai tenu un mois à regarder mes mails et les traduire difficilement dans Excel, à se jour j'ai 200 mails émanant du Wicub non ouverts. Je suis déçus, achat inutile et bien cher.

Die Anbindung an den PC ist sehr schlecht beschrieben und erfolgt in mehreren Schritten. Wer sich dort verheddert....Habe es 1 Stunde versucht, dann wieder zurückgeschickt. Ein Alternativprodukt eines deutschen Unternehmens war zwar etwas teurer, die Beratung war dafür umgehend erreichbar und kompetent.
