Good Value Product that will save you money
The key blade of my backup i10 key came away from the fob and rather than spend £100+ at the Hyundai dealer for a replacement I decided to try a repair! Unfortunately for me my original fob was a nightmare to open and I had to take a hacksaw to it! I understand that some of the newer cases are easier to open though, but be warned, you may need to use force to get into yours! Once I had extracted the circuit board and chip I began to assemble them in the new case. I would recommend looking up a Youtube video for help. Everything was going well until I found that the key blade that I was using for my knackered key did not fit into the slot in the new fob. If you are having the supplied blank blade cut, then this is not an issue, but I wanted to use my original key blade, so I had to do some filing to make it fit, which was a bit of a pain. Once this was done it was a case holding all the bits and pieces in place whilst trying to snap the two sections closed - one of those jobs where an extra hand would be helpful! Once this was done everything was fine. The materials of the fob are of good quality as are the plastic buttons. The two free tools were a nice touch, although the one used to knock out the split pin broke. There is also an enclosed extra rubber keypad, for locking/unlocking, but being rubber it is squidgier than the plastic one included with the key fob. Despite all the faffing around I was pleased with the item. I deducted two stars for ease of installation as the key blade did not fit the fob.

Hyundia i10 64 plate
Bought this to replace a key fob for a 64 plate Hyundia i10. The fob works perfect and was easy to fit the transponder and circuit board in. The key blade wasn't the correct blank blade for my key, so was unable to get it cut. I used the original key with the metal shoulder it was already fitted in. The key wouldn't flick out from the case when pressing the button. Therefore, I removed the pin that holds the blank key blade and used that shoulder. The bit that fitted into the shoulder to hold the key wasn't the same size. I filed it down and it now fits well.

Doesn’t like it
Not a good quality key fob the rubber buttons doesn’t stay in its place. It comes off easily.

Easy to fit, Excellent value!
Excellent value, excellent product. Used only the keypad after following a youtube tutorial. Was very easy to replace and my key is now like new. Very, very pleassed with the product, another one is already in my basket. (over £200 saved by not going to T****ns or car dealership)( No wonder I'm very happy!) Highly recommend!

Worthwhile persevering
This took me 1 hour to fix the first key and 10 minutes to fix the second. I was initially worried about opening the case up in case I broke some internal part as it was quite difficult to open it but after watching a YouTube video I decided to just go for it. Rather fiddly to do but I was very happy with the final result. Keys for i20 look like new. Work brilliantly each time I need to lock/unlock car.

Much harder than anticipated
I bought this as the rubber had worn on my main key and the body was scuffed so thought I would replace the whole thing. Firstly to get the innards out of the original key there is not a screw like there is on this replacement and I was nervous in case I broke it and then could not get it back together (so glad I stopped at this point otherwise I fear I would now have nothing!) So I thought I would just replace the rubber on my original key - this set actually came with 2 of these rubbers. So got all of the old rubber and the chrome trim off and cleaned the old key. There is a plastic part underneath which you need to prize off to mount on the rubber and then push it all back together. I tried this all out on the new key and it was great and easy. However on my original key the plastic under the rubber would not go back in cleanly so I thought I would mix and match. Of course the holes are aligned differently on this replacement so could not do that either. Long story short, I scrapped the plastic underneath and used some clear gorilla tape which will also act as a good enough seal to hold the replacement rubber and trim in place. Yes it is not the neatest job but is better than the worn out buttons I had before and everything still works! Some of this may be down to my own skill level, but I promise you it's not as straightforward as you may think! I've read other reviews who have also struggled.

You can replace the middle bit of ur fob
Because of nails( mine) my lock/open part of my key fob had holes in them & just wouldn’t work so had to use spare key.A friend said it cost her nearly £200 to replace her key😫so I had a look on line & found this one, I initially thought you had to replace the whole fob but it came with the insert to just replace the middle bit which was very easy to do,Great product at a great price.
