Incredible customer service
First I have to say what great customer service on the sellers part. There was an issue with the order and it was resolved with great service. The problem was resolved instantly and I could not be a more satisfied customer. The watch is amazing, better than I was expecting. For the price the look and quality are unmatched.

Wonderful seller, wonderful watch!
Purchased from Fazlani Trading Limited who provided extraordinarily excellent customer service. Communication was also excellent. Fast delivery. This is a great place to buy Seiko watches. Highly recommended.!

Great Watch for the Money
Unlike some reviews I’ve read mine was delivered very quickly, and came with full Seiko box, instructions and warranty card. The watch itself is very nice indeed, although not perfect of course. I’ll start with the negatives; the bracelet is poor quality. It’s wearable in a way - it has that vintage, jingly jangly feel. But essentially it’s cheap rubbish. The positive here is that the poor quality of the bracelet tells you all the money has gone into the watch - and you can tell. You get a nice case shape, proven automatic movement (no hacking or hind wind though), very good lume, a day/date complication and, most importantly, a great dial. It’s a classic design, with the hands and batons giving a similar look to the Rolex OP or Datejust. And the face is a stunner - a lovely sunburst grey that plays with the light beautifully. It’s 37mm but has a recessed crown so wears like a regular 36mm watch, a great size for a watch of this type. I would say that, if you want a sporty dress watch that has the size and design to give you that ‘Datejust on a budget’ feel, whilst also having a great heritage of it’s own, you cannot go wrong here. Just make sure you replace the bracelet! A nice quality brown leather looks good with this watch. I also own the silver dial version (SKXS73) which looks excellent on an aftermarket jubilee. Finally, I believe this great dial model hasn’t now been discontinued, so if you’re thinking of pulling the trigger just do it as they’re becoming harder to get hold of.

You must have this watch
Great watch !! So beautiful! The dial is outstanding for that price. The bracelet is not that great.

Time4who?
This is a very nice looking watch but after 3 weeks wearing it every day it started loosing time. First it was a couple of minutes each day then before I sent it back it had lost a few hours. The seller has had the watch back for 2 weeks and have said to me it is only loosing a few seconds each day and now want to return it to me. I don't want a watch that looses any time especially what i experienced with its behaviour. I would have rated it 5 stars if it worked properly as like i said it is a very nice looking watch.

I own a Orient Mako 1, an Orient Ray 2, several other watches including a Tissot Le Locle, and now this SNXS79J1. Seiko seems to be making moves, discontinuing beloved watch lines in the affordable range and reintroducing equivalent but less desirable watches at higher price points. The SNXS79J1 is one of the last Seiko 5's "Made in Japan". The other models that do not have this label are made in Malaysia (of similar or equal quality, but as a collector the "Made in Japan" has a certain value. The watch itself is gorgeous. The Lume is excellent as you can see by the pictures. The size is small, so if you're looking for something with large wrist presence, look elsewhere. For me, I wanted a watch similar to a Rolex Datejust or Explorer. This scratched that itch at an affordable price point, all without being a direct "Copy" of those models. It's a Seiko.. It just works. Also - you may want to ditch the bracelet. Its hollow and tin feeling and wobbles and rattles. Some people complain about this, but at the pricepoint it seems all of the "budget" went into the watch itself, not the bracelet. For me, that's where I want the money to be on an affordable watch anyway. If upgrading the bracelet, the lug size is an awkward 19mm. 19mm bracelets/straps are less common, so keep that in mind. I bought this as an every day watch. It can be dressy, it can be sporty. The Lumed hands and markers make it easy to read in any environment. The dial's reflective dark grey sunburst finish is stunning. Hopefully Seiko keeps making watches of this value for money well into the future (but seemingly they are transitioning away from that, so act fast!). Edit 2024: Watch still works great. I've sourced a jubilee bracelet and matching endlinks in 19mm from AliExpress (like $20). Bracelet and endlinks interchanged well, but i needed to use the aliexpress springbars in leiu of the OEM ones as the OEM ones wouldn't fit the new endlinks. One thing to note about this watch - It sits "High" on your wrist and it's something not a lot of people talk about enough. This gives it a "UFO" like profile when viewed from the side. Very top heavy. This is in large degree due to the somewhat thick glass caseback. Since I don't really care about looking at the movement, I purchased a much thinner, and low profile caseback of older seiko 5 models off of ebay and swapped it in. It reduced the side profile significantly and made this watch much nicer to wear and to look at. I recommend this - usually the casebacks are really cheap.
