Better than AC unit
I highly recommend this cooling system. This item is much better than a portable AC unit. AC unit needs a vent out, water drains out and pull lots power but this product is simple, plug & play, no need other accessories to operate the machine. Just power and water. I sometimes add ice to it and it makes air colder. Love this product. The capacity of this fan is great, covers 3000 sqft easy, not too noisy at all, 1/3 of AC cost - Great value of money, over all excellent performance

AMAZZZINGGG PRODUCT!!!!! UPDATE.
Well wouldn't you know it, the compressor went out on my AC unit. I live in Florida in a mobile home and don't have 10,000 for a new unit I am on disability. What a mess. Well when I saw this air cooler, I was a bit skeptical, so I started to read the reviews and do some of my own research. WoW! what a blessing this turned out to be, We placed our trust in the LORD and had purchased one. Guys, first of all you have to understand that this is NOT AN AIR CONDITIONER. IT IS AN AIR COOLER/SWAMP COOLER and key is getting the water as cold as you can get it. Buy lots of ice and get plenty of ice packs. That is what makes this thing work and you will be very very happy. So get one, it's well worth the money at least until you can get your air repaired. This hot Florida weather is NO JOKE AND DANGEROUS.UPDATE: Continues to be an amazing product. Major key factor: yes you have to continually change out the ice packs; about every 60-90 minutes, so buy enough so you don't get discouraged. It uses 3 at a time and they do melt fast so you need about 30-35, get good ones. I find the gel ones that freeze solid seem to work the best and if you stay on top of it you will get good results. Now this is not a product that you load it and leave and then return home and expect your house to be cold when you get home, you WILL BE DISAPPOINTED. This is as honest as it gets. If you are up for the challenge then get one. If not, move on, not the product for you. I had to get one. I live in Florida and in a mobile home and with no air very difficult to function; and the price for a new AC is around 10,000. So, you see, it meets my needs. A friend suggested dry ice. Hmm an idea to ponder on. I will let you know throughout my updates.

Does't work in Las Vegas
This product appears well built and does provide cool air, but unless you're sitting right in front of it in 105 degree heat it's useless. Maybe for a less taxing environment it might work but not here. Some caveat should be included that it doesn't work very well in extreme heat.

Keeping it cool
This unit size is very adequate for a two-car garage setup and smaller patio setting. It has the advertised air flow - use in Las Vegas area today temp is expected to be 104 to 108 degrees - maintained a 80-degree temp in garage for most of the day, it did drop to 76 degrees once the sun set. A couple of things that would make this more operational efficient is installing a float device so water flow via hose would be auto shut flow of water supply. So far, this unit is working as advertised. The ice packs don't really last a long time - suggest purchasing better ice packs for longer use. The ones that come with it are water filled. Straight forward operation. Reminder the hotter it is the more water usage it will take.

Works great.
arrived on time shipping was quick and painless. Setup was easy, install the water hose adaptor and plug it in, turn on the water. there's a small drip from the plastic fitting but wasn't bad and I had no time to fuss with it so just let it go. Had a large family get together scheduled for months and it turned into the hottest day of the year so far. 98 degrees in the shade. This swamp cooler kept it comfortable even for the elders in the family. Have yet to see how it holds up over time but it seems really solid.

For Garage Gym
We live in Texas and my gym is in the garage, this has been a game changer with minor drawbacks. I have a high powered wall fan already but it wasn’t enough in 90+ weather let alone 100+, added this cooler and while I don’t believe it drops the temp in the entire 3 car garage it helps keep cool air in my gym section. The ice packs are nice but I don’t typically use them, I may just drop real ice from my freezer if I’m feeling bougie but typically not needed. The drawbacks are a few minor things, I have to roll it out ti fill up with the hose since I don’t have a water line in the area of the gym. Draining it so water doesn’t sit stagnant if I know I won’t be using it. I don’t believe these are intended for inclosed spaces so I have to leave one bay door open to avoid humidity. Not a huge deal since we also bought a screen from Amazon to keep bugs out and air flowing.

Dosen't Cool any better than a fan.
Item doesn't cool even with ice packs in upper trays. Fan blows well but it's same temp as ambient air. Save your money and just buy a shop fan.

Great Product
Easy to assemble and the instructions are clear and it works great. We use it on the back patio for a party we had and it cooled the area really well would highly recommend it.
