Thickness is great. Quality is good as well, no foul smell or any bad smell on it. My little one is comfortable using. Serves its purpose.

I’d read lots of reviews on mattresses and the smell of foam and having to air them was putting me off so I went for this natural fibre one instead and I was not disappointed! No smell, fit perfectly and my baby slept great at his grandparents this week. The thickness is perfect and better than what comes with our Mothercare cot (which we still used underneath). There was a small black mark on it when it arrived which I guess is easily done before being packaged but once the sheet is on, it’s forgotten about. Lengthwise, it took up the whole of the back seat of the car or it can stand upright behind a seat or lie in the boot. We will store it under his cot when not in use.. Overall, a good product that does what it says.

We bought this mattress because our travel cot mattress had only a basic cardboard style mattress that our son was starting to find un comfortable. We boughtthis based on the reviews. We did unfortunately find ours stunk to hi heavens of chemicals, it took two weeks to fully degass, but now it doesn't smell and is great for the job that it does. So, those of you who have bought ones that smell, this is normal, however the potency may not be, this is likely a fault during the manufacturing process but does not indicate an inferior product. You just have to air it out for longer to degass it. So what causes it to smell? The sponges are treated with chemicals to make them fire retardent and other things, as a bi product of this process, the chemicals give off non volatile compounds as they bed in These are not dangerous, but the smell can cause headaches if over powering as was the case for us. So, strip the mattress down to the sponge lay it out in the sun ☀ (heat excites the compounds causing them to gass quicker). And just check it's progress. We had ours out fully for about 3 days, but due to weather it was out of its case for about a week. All in all a great product.

My little one slept terribly on the mattress that came with our Micralite Sleep&Go travel cot and we could not face another trip away with zero sleep so bought this mattress to supplement the original one and we were NOT disappointed. It fit perfectly and our little one slept for 10 hours each night without waking, for three whole nights on the bounce. It’s safe to say she approved of the mattress and we thoroughly enjoyed our trip as a result. We didn’t notice the “weird” smell others have mentioned in their reviews but the only negative is that the mattress is flat and you can’t roll or fold it so it does take up some room in the boot. Luckily for us it fit perfectly on the parcel shelf but worth noting if you’re tight on space.

I was worried it'd not be quite right for the price, compared to other mattress prices in other shops, but this is great. Plenty thick enough and comfy for a newborn. No smell or marks, or damage.
