Perfect replacement battery
I contemplated buying a new vacuum. Instead, I am glad I decided to order a replacement battery. It is identical to the original battery, charges quickly, and works well.

Super buy for such a quality battery.
The Hover ONEPOWER 8.0 Ah Lithium Ion Battery lasts 4 times longer than the 4.0 Ah one.

What I Wish I'd Known About Hoover Cordless Vacuum Cleaners
This review is more about Hoover ONEPWR than the battery itself. TL;DR the battery is fine, but I cannot recommend the appliances that use it. I bought my Hoover cordless vacuum cleaner in March 2021. The vacuum cleaner works great, and I love it. By December 2023, the battery no longer worked. I've owned many appliances with rechargeable batteries, so this was more than a bit disappointing, but what shocked me was the price of replacement batteries - nearly the same as what I'd paid for the vacuum cleaner itself for a 4.0 ah battery! As a result, I settled for this smaller 2.0 ah battery, which means I will need to recharge more often, and which I assume has a shorter use life. Either way, had I known this about Hoover's ONEPWR technology, I would have looked into a different vacuum cleaner. Spending $50 - $100 every two years on a vacuum cleaner is extremely inefficient and a poor overall value. A final note: the Amazon sales page made it appear I was ordering this battery from the official Hoover store. However, it came to my home in a white plastic bag, with no other packaging, and seems to have come from a reseller.

Nice backup battery
I always buy an extra battery for my cordless vacuums. My Hoover Lynx died after 8 years, but the 2 batteries were still giving me at least 10 min of vacuuming time. My new Hoover Evolve Elite battery gives me about 15-20 min of vacuum time, depending on whether I use it the whole time on high or not. The extra one I bought on Amazon does the same. I like the easy feature that allows you to check how much battery is left. The only downside is that this battery is expensive at $99, but the Hoover site is more. I can't help but compare the price to the Lynx batteries that were half that price. The charger is easy to use and I always have a battery ready to use, if needed.

good product
When I buy a new battery operated device, I always buy another battery. If you are vacuuming, you don't want to stop and wait for the battery to recharge. If your battery operated flash light dies, you really need it at that time. Always buy an extra battery because 4 or 5 years down the line, the battery will probably not be available for purchase unless you buy from a specialty sight online and it will cost you twice as much!

Battery stops working after 6 months
I have purchased three of these batteries in the past two years. I have purchased two of these vacuums, and the battery constantly becomes unable to hold a charge after only about six months to a year. It’s a complete rip off. I would not recommend buying the Hoover vacuum that it goes with or a replacement battery because they do not last!! Durability: Is horrible. Only lasts a few months. Charging ability: after a few months, it will not charge again. I have had to replace this battery 3 to 4 times in the last two years. I have contacted Hoover and they sent me one one time and that was it the rest of the time I just had to buy a new one!

Works great!
SO much better than the original Hop Sing battery that came with the vacuum cleaner. I also bought the quality charger. Now I can do the house twice on one charge. Before I had to go really fast to get it done before the battery played out.

I have several 4Ahr lithium batteries for the Hoover Blade vacuum system. It takes three of them to clean my entire house. And after awhile they will all start failing one way or another. This 8Ahr one came on sale so I tried it. This one will last for 24 minutes, which is far superior to my other batteries. Yes it weighs more, however it has to because of the additional cells in it.
