Best purchase of the year hands down...
After suffering a pretty serious neck injury I tirelessly and thoroughly searched for options to get back to 100%, being realistic that I may never even get close to being the same as before. Not to take no for an answer I tried a plethora of things. Pretty wild that even as a mom I found myself watching Mike Tyson and Joe Rogan talk about the negative long-term effects of neck bridging catching up with wrestlers, boxers, etc. Point is...I went deep down the rabbit hole, which lead me here. I spent quite a few months very reluctant to shell out $300, especially considering what I know about manufacturing (in general, not at all in regards to this product), marketing, etc. Eventually I realized my physical therapy was pretty much maxed out and I was tired of doing all kinds of weird, compensating things throughout the day just to participate in life and spend quality time with my kid. I bit the bullet and my only regret now is not having done so sooner. From the first session I was hooked. My neck couldn't stop cracking when I was doing Stevie Wonder's, but most importantly immediately after using this thing that looks like a ring around Saturn, my neck felt better for the first time since my injury, which at the time happened nearly a year prior. Literally the first night I was sleeping better, turning side to side better, and just about everything. I'm a bit skeptical of any claims I read these days and most certainty don't believe in "magic pills", as are so often marketed to consumers in various aspects of life, but to my very thankful surprise, this Iron Neck is exactly that. As a woman I didn't want to suddenly look like Lou Ferrigno, and by using the 25 pound resistance band (it's high quality, not a basic resistance band...band is not even a word that does it justice) that's included I most certainly don't. (My husband uses the 50 pound band and can't stop talking about his "gains".) The device is super easy to use. All you need is literally a door, the rest is included in your purchase. (Resistance band, hat you can use for hygiene purposes, etc.) The thing even pumps up like those Reebok shoes from years ago, so you get the perfect fit. Bottom line...this is definitely the best thing I bought last year. Improved so many aspects of my life, and not only do I feel better, but I feel educated as I'm not using a neck-harness to lift weights, or trying to do neck bridges, both of which might strengthen your neck in the short, medium, or long-term, but the risks can easily outweigh the rewards especially considering the position they put the neck in and how the load is applied. The Iron Neck does it much differently, and safely. This is the device to get, even if you already have a great neck. I was shocked by how much better my body functions in general now that my neck isn't a weak link, which can quickly happen to a lot of us now that most of us spend a lot of hours in the day looking at screens. Thanks Iron Neck for making something so revolutionary and helpful! $300 is nothing when you get your life back. Considering how I feel and how I perform now versus before I bought it, it's priceless.

Miracle Tool
I haven’t been able to touch my chin to my shoulder in probably close to a decade. I’m 38 and spent a long time in the military, so wear and tear and an injury were the root cause of that. I started using the iron neck because I wanted a stronger neck in the range of motion I had. But seriously, within 2 weeks I was able to touch my chin to both shoulders. My range of motion has come back significantly. I now do a routine with it 3-4 times a week to end workouts. Not only has my ROM improved, shoulders loosened up even, and my neck has gotten stronger. To the point I can wrestler bridge on my head again. I’m up to regular routines with the 45lb band. I really wish I would have invested in this sooner, as I’d been eyeballing it for years and hesitant due to the cost. But it’s worth every penny so far in my experience. I did order as a bundle, but ultimately returned the rehab kit of all things. I found the bands to be a little too weak.

Excellent.
I normally don't write reviews. I buy my stuff for me, and mind my business. I had this thing on my wishlist for two years before I decided to buy it. I've had neck and shoulder issues for years, due to stress tension and posture. For the longest time I just couldn't justify the price point, yet this is the only thing on the market that does what it does in the way it does. I've tried specific neck exercises before, which just ended up making things worse. Finally, after a day of driving home from work with my neck hurting the whole time, I just bought it out of frustration. Literally a day after, two years of consideration, it goes on sale for more than $100 bucks. I reached out, expecting to have to fight or just have to return it in disgust. These people just no problem, thank you for your business'ed me, and gave me the discount. Stellar friggin service, stellar company that actually thinks of its customers. Thanks guys. One time after using this goofy space helmet, and it resolved a lot of my neck tension. I worked out right after, leg day, usually get pinches in my neck and spine when doing squats. Just one little pinch the whole routine, not even that bad. I can tell this will work miracles over time. I like a lot of novel workout gear, things no one really sees or hears of, and I know when I stumble upon something really useful. If you need this, what it does, if your rehabbing for something, and you got the funds, go for it. I reccomend it. Yeah it's expensive, but nobody else has this, I've looked. And for what it can do, and the problems it can help solve and prevent, the high price is worth the years of pain and discomfort I don't have to put up with. Thanks for makin this thing folks, and being a customer friendly business.

Wakes up muscles that feel long dormant
My Experience + PROS --Ex-Bball player who still works out a 3 times a week. I have pains in my neck right at the junction to my shoulder and back. I went with the Pro model. Works exactly as described. In the first workout I was already able to feel activation of muscles deep within my mid back and along my spine. Creates a warm tingling sensation of blood flowing to a region that has fallen asleep, really sets up the rest of the day at a computer nicely, for example. Pain is still there after a week of usage but I feel like it’s slowly getting better?? Time will tell. EDIT: neck was definitely improving from its use but make sure that you use it correctly and don't try and bottom out your ROM turning your head --The basic tension is pretty good, so going with the cheap model would provide that same feeling of blood flow and exercise without having the ability to dial up the tension --For individuals using this for sport specific training (football bjj wrestling), I would say just fork up the extra if you can for the pro model. If you already have a decently strong neck, it is the only way to turn these exercises into a hypertrophic effort rather than a cardiovascular one if you know what I’m saying. CONS: -To be frank much of the problems I have with it are in its cost rather than its function, though I do find quirks with the increased resistance levels to be a bit annoying. Don't get me wrong, it is very well manufactured in that it looks really cool and I don’t fear it breaking or flying off my head (although staring face to face at a loaded cable with metal clip holding 40lbs of tension is a bit unnerving), but for what you get it just doesn't seem like it should be so damn expensive. It is made of plastic and doesn't have any sort of crazy new technology in it. EDIT: Price has dropped a bit -Where the cable attaches to the halo providing the tension is (or at least sounds like) plastic-plastic contact making constant light scraping noises rather than a smooth glide of maybe ball bearings or something. Increasing the tension for a more difficult workout just seems to just clamp down on this connection and increases the scraping in a way that feels a lot like the old bow flex machines with somewhat unreliable tension that relies on you continuing motion to prevent friction. At the highest levels of tension it feels like your head is already almost done turning before the gliding clamp starts to readjust to center. A bit crazy that this feature would add hundreds of dollars to the price tag. The fit on the head is good, you get used to it quickly and if not, you are only wearing it for a short time anyway. The included skull cap definitely helps reduce discomfort. Overall: Does exactly what they say it will do. My neck feels better every day I use it. I have no doubt that in the future this design will be improved upon greatly. For this reason I would go with the cheaper model if you don’t have a lot of disposable income or if you need to get hypertrophy in your neck. They have a trial program too by the way

A great device for neck muscle improvement or rehab
This is a super base device to neck workouts. I also bought the rehab kit as I have a neck injury. It’s like going to physical therapy without the daily cost and limited exercises. I’ve already gained 50% more neck mobility in turns after just 3 weeks. I highly recommend this.

2x Dead on Arrival (wrong item/missing pieces), Terrible Customer Service.
Exoerience has been terrible ordering from Iron Neck via Amazon. The first time I tried to purchase the Iron Neck Pro, I was sent the regular version. I decided to purchase while the item was on sale, and of course the item went off sale after my purchase and the mix-up on the vendor's part. I was not offered a pro-rated price, or an exchange, but only a refund for the sale price. After waiting for two weeks for the refund due to an unspecified "delay in processing", and deciding I still wanted the product, I decided to try to purchase the Iron Neck Pro again. This time I tried to compensate for missing out on the sale price by taking advantage of a USED-Excellent condition item with was $60 dollars cheaper than the $599 regular price. I received the package and found NONE of the accessories that were supposed to be included, most importantly, the various door anchors, sizing pads, and skull cap. After trying to process a complaint with customer service, I ended up in a chat, asked to register my issue via means that would not reflect as a complaint, but rather a message in a Products Detail, and told I would be followed up with within a day or two. Crickets. Done with this, and going with the EZ-Neck, a fraction of the price, no areas to break or come apart (read the reviews mentioning this expensive item's less than stellar build quality and issues with durability), and simplified method of use.

Decide if it's worth it for you
I've been using the pro model for a couple of weeks now and am extremely happy with the product, apparent quality in manufacturing, and it's functionality. My neck feels great. I was able to buy the pro model at a discount due to damaged packaging, which was great. I have such a problem with the price point and difference in cost between models. The pro model has a dail to adjust tension but like an earlier reviewer pointed out, it just clamps the swivel part tighter and increases drag, just scraping against itself. There isn't even a number setting for the tension, which would be great for switching between users. Not $300 worth of technological brilliance, I assure you. And my biggest problem and question is, Why even make 3 models??? The pro model covers it all. GREED. And thanks to consumers like me. It's validated and enabled. All in all, I love the product but hate the price. Buy it if you want to be a no neck idiot like myself.

Overpriced for what you get.
Yes, it is a quality built item. Yes, it does what it says and you will surely get good results from it. But after using it one time I realized I can do almost all the exercises and get 90% of the benefits using a simple resistance band. And I can use the resistance band while sitting in a chair, watching TV so I am a lot more likely to do the exercises.
