Product Description
These Oco Agate Geodes are imported from Fontoura Xavier, Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil. They are cut in half and polished on the cut face. They are dyed pink to enhance the color. Some of the dye may rub off on your hands when handling them a lot. These are very high quality pieces with nice crystal cavities and electric color.

You will receive one Oco Agate Geode from the lot shown in the listing photos that is 2 inch to 2 1/2 inch and weighing between 2 and 4 ounces.

Oco’s”, is the word used in Brazil where they are found, are tiny agate nodules with a geode center. The formation in which the geodes are found is 50 million years old and located in the country of Brazil. Farmers have gathered the Oco’s for many years. After the crops have been harvested and the farmers are unable to work, the fields are tilled under allowing the Oco’s to appear. They are then gathered and sold for cutting into the geode half.
