These work, but are definitely disposable.
I do my own nails at home, using blank press on nails that a paint myself. These block nail files worked for getting the extra plastic off the tip of the fake nails. It also worked for filing the edges of my nails a bit. They are definitely a one time use item when used this way though. Most of the grit wore off both sides by the time I was done with my 10 nails. I could see getting a few more uses out of one if you were just going to buff your natural nails some. There are 50 in the pack, so even with the way I will be using them, I won't run out anytime soon.

Work great for smoothing
This buffer blocks are great for smoothing the nail surface without creating any scratches or indents. It has a soft grit. They are very small so it can be hard to get a good grip without being used to it. They will not last very long because they get work out fairly quick but it gets the job done well.
