Very effective cleaning
Good points: Used regularly for two months now and think the design is excellent for cleaning all kinds. The auto function is able to detect the level of cleanliness needed. We use supermarket branded tablets with no issue. The extra whirl on the bottom spray arm means water reaches everywhere. Didn’t think we’d like the cutlery tray opposed to the previous basket but it works really well. Unpacking it is quick and easy as all the spoons, knives and forks are together, small point I know but it buys time! Not so good: sometimes not everything dries, mainly plastic Tupperware type things. Just a red light on the floor, not a timer which would have been excellent. This is the integrated version and fitting the door was bit of a faff. None of these things detract from an excellent dishwasher.

Good dishwasher with excellent cleaning and low noise, but a few quirks to know about
Installation took me a bit of time, but overall it was easier than I expected. The size and fit were perfect once in place. I did have to adjust some plumbing because the water connector is quite chunky and didn’t fit my original setup, but if you’re reasonably handy, it’s manageable. I haven’t installed the cabinet door yet, so I can’t comment on that part of the process. In terms of functionality and dishwasher quality, the machine performs brilliantly. It cleans very well and runs quietly, much quieter than other dishwashers I’ve owned, which really improves the overall value for money. The inside layout is good, but I would’ve liked an extra height setting on the top rack - it feels either too high or too low, with no middle adjustment. One thing to note is that there is no internal light, even though the product images make it look like it does. Mine also didn’t include the wine glass holder piece (only the rubber spikes), so I’m not sure if that’s normal for this model or if it was missing from the box. A nice touch was the inclusion of a few dishwasher tablets, which made the initial setup easier. The Eco program works well but takes a very long time - around 4 hours - so keep that in mind if you’re in a rush. Overall, it’s a high-quality and quiet dishwasher that looks great and performs excellently, with a few small quirks worth knowing before buying.

Super quiet and good performance
Having used AEG appliances for many years, when we needed a new integrated dishwasher for our new kitchen it had to be AEG. We fitted it into the corner to the left of the sink, and even if I had not fitted a corner side support it still would fit snug as it has really good height adjustment. The performance is great, and our favourite setting is the autosense which tests the cleanliness of the waste water going out and adjusts the wash to suit. It is so quiet it shines a red LED light onto the floor to let you know it's running. Perfect.

There is a video on how to fit this machine.MAKE SURE you watch it
IT SEEMS AEG have developed a cheap version of machine tgat does not give pride to that name. It is quite light and flimsy....now it is possible that all machines are made this way these days. It took forever to understand the silly one sheet instructions which, if they were designed to confuse, certainly succeed. Had it not been for my daughter who found a video, I swear I would still be trying to fit the front panel....there is a big difference In what the diagram shows and what the video shows. I have fitted 10-12 DWs and have never encountered this. However, it does S appear to be quite good at cleaning dishes, which I suppose is the main point, so I gave it 3 stars as opposed to the 2 it's build quality deserves. I would not recommend this product and had my daughter not been without a machine for several weeks, it would have been returned

Good
My previous 2 dishwashers were made by Neff. They lasted about 7 years each and both failed in the same way with a water leak. So I bought this new AEG. Pros: * Excellent washing capability, everything has come out spotless so far - it's a new machine after all. * Nice touch sensitive controls that respond well. * Straightforward washing programs organised by time. * Good energy efficiency (if you choose the 'ECO' program, which comes out well). * Delicate option available, called 'glass care'. * 'Extra power' option for very dirty items or very large loads. Neutral: * Tray design not optimal and top tray is either too high or too low. * Cutlery tray has a rotor arm above it, great for cleaning but easy to obstruct, doesn't really matter too much. * The bottom arm has the funky design, I don't know whether it reaches further than a normal arm, but have to say the results have been exceptional. * All the trays feel narrower than the Neff, slightly less space - maybe the Neff trays sit more flush to the interior walls. Regardless, you get accustomed to the different design and work out what goes where over time when loading. * When the door's open, its ajar position is a little too wide for my taste - I like to leave it ajar all day and only click it shut to start the wash, but it's too wide to leave open for me so have to keep clicking it open and closed - it's not the smoothest action I've ever experienced. Cons: * Feels a little bit cheaper in materials and quality than the Bosch parts used by Neff. From the plastics, the trays, the moving parts. * Drying is inferior, the tray-plastic attracts water (unlike Neff) and the trays themselves are dripping wet at the end, even after several hours - like a tree after a rainstorm - so nudging the tray causes a shower to fall on things that were dry. Generally plates and glasses dry well but anything with an angle or is plastic-based needs a wipe with a tea towel. A flat-lying non-stick saucepan has drips all over the interior without fail. I guess anyone that comes up with the genius plan to open the door to dry probably has some idea that the drying function doesn't work that well. I'll probably start buying rinse-aid again to see if it helps, but I never needed it before (using all-in-one tablets). Installation: Installation I did myself. After I selected the Amazon installation service and paid, I read the small print that states the service can only be selected for free standing appliances, somehow I was still allowed to select it for an integrated appliance!? You have to disconnect your integrated appliance before they arrive too, if you want it collected. The delivery team was very nice, but I felt I'd prefer my own installation. They also unpacked the machine before bringing it out of the van, so it had to survive the pavement on its journey to my door. There was also water in the hoses - that was unexpected for a new machine, but whatever. About the installation effort, I could do it, I rate myself as average ability and not that strong. It ended up quite neat with a straight door, it took 4 hours. AEG directed me to a YouTube guide, but... none of the 5 videos I saw matched this machine exactly. The paper instructions have no words, only pictures. You need to spend an hour studying the guide and watching the clips, then make a hybrid set of instructions using your common sense. E.g. One video shows the engineer setting the height before pushing it into place ... another sets the height after pushing it into the cavity to avoid damaging the extended legs. All the clips show a weird plastic strip you stick to the underside of the worktop - this is a heat protector, probably due to the open-door drying, I think only needed for wooden worktops. I really like the way the furniture door is attached, it slides to accommodate the plinth without much extension from the base - and it's also detachable if you need to take it off without making a mess. But read everything - there are two positions depending on the height of the door - the height of your door matters. My door was 50mm longer than the allowed length for the connections I chose, but it still fits without hitting the plinth - you need to check everything 5 times and then work out the various options 5 times. Overall I like this dishwasher and will get used to it over time. Best feature is the washing performance with a good energy rating of 'C'.
