Roadside Geology of Indiana

I used to live in Indiana, and with an upcoming visit planned to the state, I decided to order this book. We love visiting outdoor areas anyway, and this book provided a interesting, wonderful guide to several geological features I had previously not been aware of. Visits to various areas and parks near the Wabash River and Sugar Creek were enriched by referring to the book. (Beautiful scenery in the state did the rest!) The book has inspired plans to follow routes in other regions of the state.

Just look up the highway you are traveling on & you will be amazed at what you are passing over, near, or close to! Very interesting!

This is a very fascinating book about the history of this area where I live.

Excellent maps, photos and accurate text in this entire geology series. Gave this as a gift to Indiana resident and they have relived their rock-hound youth and are planning some new visits. Good enough to re-read several times in areas you frequent.

I moved to Indiana 10 months ago in order to take a job. I have always had an interest in geology and I have taken geology courses in college and received good grades. I like this book. As a new resident, this book has helped me to appreciate the natural beauty of Indiana. It seems well researched and the language has been easy to understand. I feel fine recommending this book to an amateur geology enthusiast.

Package recieved in good order, but delivery states that it was handed directly to resident. We were not home!! We found the package sitting on the front porch when we returned. We live in a single family home.

This is definitely one of the better books in this series (I own most of them). If you, like me, have always regarded Indiana as a place you have to drive through, you'll be as surprised as I to discover just how much interesting geology there is. It's a good read besides.
