Q: Can anyone recommend a knife guard for this size or does it came with one?

No this does not have a blade guard with it and most of the guards on the market do not go up to 30 cms. Take a look at the Wusthof one on the Haus website. Although it is thin it is the right length and has a felt lining. But be careful not to leave your knife in this type of blade guard unless is is completely dry. http://www.inthehaus.co.uk/products/wt9920-4_narrow_blade_guard.php Personally I would buy a piece of leather and make a wrap for the knife.
