I love this mat! Ive had this for 8 months now and it's a muat have! It's super thick and comfortable. I wanted something that wasn't too bright or crazy looking. This mat design is cute and adorable! I WFH and sometimes lay on the ground with my baby and it's so comfortable! Lays flat on all edges. I think there was a slight chemical smell at first but it went away. I usually have this in a large playpen and have one of the ends folded in since the mat is a little longer than the playpen. It does not get ruined after being folded and still lays flat when I take the mat out to put on carpet even after being bent for awhile while being in the playpen. It has most definitely saved my baby from having too much injuries from falls and head bumps. Of course, you can't control how much they fall but it helps with the shock of the fall.Highly recommend. I bought the large one and love it. It's definitely and investment but I see this being useful for any of my future babies up to toddler years, as well. The material is nice. Not too sticky and not too slippery. Just perfect to ensure baby doesn't slip around everywhere and still can grip to learn how to crawl / walk. Must buy for all babies learning how to crawl and walk. I also love that if I lay this on the hard wood floor, the mat won't slip around everywhere and also stays put on carpet! Another huge plus is the cleaning! If my LO drops anything,I just wipe away and it's clean! Can't go wrong with this high quality mat!

I'd say that this is the best baby mat to buy! The design front and back is modern, and the thickness is just right. Good for babies when they are crawling and trying to move! I spilled food on it and it just came off with some wipes so I suppose no stain as well.

I bought this mat when my poor daughter kept bonking her head on our all tile floors. Right when she was starting to sit up on her own. I had been researching play mats for some time and was hoping to find one that fit with our color scheme a little better as this was going to go in the living room. The only ones I could find (for any sort of reasonable cost) were the ones that come in pieces. The pieces sounded like a nightmare for me. I have a dog and two cats, all of whom shed EVERYWHERE (the animals are why I don't have an area rug in this area). So the thought of having to vacuum pet hair out of those nooks and crannies sounded like a terrible idea. I bought this mat and haven't regretted it one minute!The mat is one, very thick and cushioned, piece. It weighs quite a lot. It's definitely not flimsy. It's large enough to cover a great amount of room, and aside from a small bit of texturing on the mat itself, is smooth and easy to clean. Although I haven't conducted any scientific tests, I don't think it absorbs liquid either. Which is great when a sippy cup falls over and drips, or (unfortunately true story) a friends dog visits and "goes" on it.As far as the smell: it smells like a shower curtain out of the box. I just left it on the back porch overnight (rolled out and slung over a chair) and the smell was never an issue for us.Cleaning: as I said above, it's super easy to clean. I've never vacuumed it, although it could probably take it just fine. But I sweep it when I'm cleaning the floors. I also take it outside and scrub it down with simple green once a month or so. It rinses off easily and dries quickly.To be honest, the kiddo couldn't care less about it. It's just "there". I anticipate her caring more about the pattern as she gets older (she's just turned one ), but for now, it's perfect.
