This kit is a mixed bag. The basics are good, but there are some glaring deficiencies. There ilaee enough colourants to paint numerous repairs yet only 1 barely adequate paper mixing cup, a very small square of backing gauze, 2 wooden stirrers and a very small piece of wet and dry paper. Why skimp on these cheap basics when they would make the kit far more useable? It just makes no sense when there is so much of the more expensive paint and plenty of glue and filler.

This product is amazing. After purchasing I panicked thinking I would need a finishing/sealer product but it’s included in the colour providing you don’t have a gloss finish leather. I used this to cover where the leather had worn and cracked to show a dark colour underneath. I used the filler to fill the cracks and dried each thin coat with a hairdryer as I’m impatient and I had children that would come home and climb all over it! I was able to fill and colour on the same day. Mixing the colour to the exact colour of the leather is a challenge! I used the enclosed paper pot included and watched as the entire contents drained from it, all over the sofa, as it became soggy and I managed to puncture a hole in it. I’d recommend mixing in a plastic container if you have one. I have zero experience and this was a seamless repair. The finish matches my sofa and the texture of the leather wasn’t lost in the process. If in doubt I think the company offer a colour matching service and there are tutorials you can follow online for a step by step. It comes with paper instructions to follow. I purchased beige. I can also confirm it withstands the normal wear and tear that a sofa does and doesn’t transfer colour to clothing.

Easy to use, took a few bits of mixing to get the colour right. But worked really well

Just been quoted £200 to refurbish the arms on my Queen Anne red leather chair. Saw a video on u tube on how to do it yourself and found this kit on Amazon for £25 so thought I’d have a go. Wasn’t impressed when it arrived didn’t seem much in the kit and it’s a big chair. The filler tube was half full I thought someone had used it before but it was still sealed so guess you only get half a tube so even more disappointed but hey ho carry on I half followed the minimal instructions and half followed u tube. For what I needed there was ample filler for the scuffs and wear. Then came the dye the colour chart is as much use as an ashtray on a motorbike and the mixing instructions were as clear as mud so I dived in using my own concoction at first not deep enough then to dark then as near as dammit so I went with it and was very very pleased with the outcome the chair looks great as good as new saved £165 WOW I don’t know if it will last that’s only to be seen over the coming days and months my friend saw the before and after and he is really impressed with the results and so am I. I spent less than two hours on the job over a period of 24 hours leaving things to dry naturally wish I took a photo prior to starting but I’ll try and post one after the work. I’ve never taken on a task like this but I will generally have a go at anything being a bit handy and I’m truly impressed with myself this time the arm ends were really scuffed using them to force yourself up when standing and creases in the arms but the filler worked well and the colour came good in the end but you’ve got to get into the dabbing method wiping it on is no good and I’ve still got loads of the kit left really surprising how far it goes don’t put the filler on to thick in one go numerous thin coats makes a better job than one thick one putting on to thick it only peels off like a rubber glue sand the thin coats lightly and add more filler till it’s feels smooth or ring me and I’ll do it for £200 well recommend this product

Die Reparatur eines Loches in unserem Sofa war mit diesem Set kein Problem, und auch die Kratzer waren im nu Weg. Ich bin kein Profi und habe auch kein besonderes Talent für so etwas, es ist wirklich mit Hilfe der Anleitung kein Problem ein Loch bzw. Kratzer aus dem Leder zu entfernen und wenn man nicht ganz genau hinsieht, dann sieht das wieder aus wie neu! Klare Kaufempfehlung!!

Almost impossible to use it. Can only repair a circle with 5 cm radius. Dont buy it not worth it.

Efficace! Un po’ dispendioso rispetto ad altri, ma devo ammettere che mi ha stupito. Dopo circa un mesa dalla riparazione di un vecchio taglio di circa 5 cm tiene molto bene, il taglio non si nota più. Questo è il pregio maggiore. Unico difettuccio è che la riparazione distendendosi con l’uso mostra un po’ di materia chiara sottostante, ma la cosa è facilmente risolvibile tingendo con l’abbondante colore disponibile. Riconosco che occorre una certa manualità artigianale per utilizzare al meglio il kit, ma se si è un po scaltri i risultati sono decisamente professionali. Unica vera criticità riscontrabile è la difficoltà a trovare l’esatta sfumatura di colore per la tinta, alla fine sulla mia nonostante le tabelle di colore è risultato appena più scuro del nero di base ma effettivamente è difficile che si noti. La quantità è abbondante per varie riparazioni, a me non serve e spero che una volta aperti i flaconi le sostanze rimangano attive a lungo. Come giudizio generale 5 stelle mi sembrano meritate, lo riacquisterei di nuovo.
