I bought a cute new overhead light that for some reason, put the on-off switch at the end of the cord, making it painfully inconvenient because the outlet was behind my desk. Rather than invest in another surge protector, I gave this a try.Works right out of the box, no programming or additional batteries necessary. I took the keychain off the remote and used a command strip to hang it on the side of my desk, and it works perfect. Sometimes it does need to be aimed at the outlet to work, but not always, so I used command strips with the velcro just in case.Honestly, my only issue is I wish I had bought the version with three outlets, because of course the PC lights I ordered the day after have the same issue with the on-off switch by the plug! These things are seriously handy and way more affordable than smart lights that need a phone or wifi signal to work. Seriously cannot recommend them enough!

My friend had sent me one Loved it so much ordered set of three now lights fan all one push of a button on and off .now no forgetting to turn lights on and off from bed all done fan used for white noise all good amazing you won’t regret this purchase thank you so easy to install just plug it and done.Anyware in room it just works.

These work very well, and the quality is like that of an Apple product. They can be turned on/off remotely, or manually by use of the green LED on/off button on each receiver. Each of the three receivers is numbered to match the corresponding button on the remote. I like that you can also turn "All" outlets on/off at the same time. The remote has a tiny red LED showing that it's transmitting the signal - an appreciated feature.One excellent use for this is if you have up to 3 items that you need to turn on in sequence, such as audio systems where you'd turn on all other equipment(s) before the power amp.I haven't tried maxing the distance, but I can verify that it goes at least 30ft line-of-sight.I didn't care for the keychain on the remote, so I gently pulled it downward and out, and it popped out w/o breaking the plastic tab holding it in.Advice: make sure you press the buttons as far out to the sides as you can. Pressing toward the center of the buttons causes inaccuracy.How could it be better? Make the transmitter glow in the dark. Then you can find it in the dark when all the lights are out.Highly recommended.

The DEWENWILS Indoor Remote Control Outlet with remote works great! An inexpensive way to make your outlet remote control. It’s got a 23a 12v battery(just like a remote door bell) it’s just the right size so you can still plug something into the 2nd outlet! I’m definitely going to be purchasing a few more of these as the remote actually works from a room 50’ away from the outlet! Unfortunately the unit stopped working after exactly 1 month, so I’m returning for another one. Hopefully this one last longer!

Works well and good price point

This has got to be one of the smartest things ever invented. ... I want everything I own plugged into one of these. I wish they were a bit less expensive so I could afford to do that, but it is money well spent either way.Easy to set up and program. Remote works even outside!Old building / wiring tho, unfortunately took 2 of mine out with a power surge. I should have plugged them into the surge protector not directly to the wall.Not these outlets fault at all. But be weary. A power surge / flipped breaker and they are toast. So I'm down to 3 out of 5 still working. Will need to buy more for sure later.

Easy set up and is reliable

I bought this 5 pack of remote control outlets to use in my workshop. At first I thought that these were too underpowered, but they work just fine. I have one attached to my vacuum/dust collector and I love being able to turn it on and off without being near it. Another thing that I admire is that there is a button that will turn all of them off at once which can double as an emergency shut off switch for safety. I recommend this product and I can say that they are capable for almost every application

I have several standing lamps that, unfortunately, have barely accessible on/off switches -- they're the kind that you step on to use, that lie on the ground. You'd need to be a contortionist to get to them. So I got these little items and now, I just click the clicker (yes, it's the remote) and the lamps turn on, no acrobatics needed. It took a little while for me to figure out the programming, bc anything more technical than Ziploc food bags is a lot for me, but I got it done, it's actually very easy. Going to attach more electronica to these, makes life easier!

Works as I wanted. Multiple Object control as individual or the group.Range isn't super great... up to 12ft... but works well within that range in my living room.

I bought this for the floor lamp that I have in the corner of my living room behind a reading chair. It works great! Now I don’t need to do a balancing act to reach up to turn the lamp on and off. Highly recommend 👍🏻.
