This pot was everything I wanted, and it was more than I expected. It cooks very well. I highly recommend it cooks perfectly.

The lid to the caldero does not fit securely; it leaves a small gap. Very sharp edges on both the caldero and the lid.

Love this pot so far. I got it yesterday. I washed it and immediately started cooking in it. It cooks very well. I made like a zucchini and yellow squash stew of sorts. I started with avocado oil, onions, bell peppers, garlic, celery, a sliced whole jalapeño, bacon and smoked sausage. I sauté that all together. Added stewed tomatoes. Then added my cut up squash, with seasonings and some tomato paste. When I tell you it was a party going on in that pot, I’m not exaggerating. Cooked some yellow rice and scooped the stew up to pour over the top. It was so good. More than enough room for everything. I like the size of the pot and how much it holds. And nothing stuck to the bottom. I was concerned about that, because the texture of the pot is slightly of coarse, but that wasn’t a problem. The pot has a thickness and deepens to it, making it very versatile for many cooking styles and recipes. I’m really happy with my purchase thus far.

This traditional Colombian caldero in their 4.8-quart size has quickly become my favorite pot for making rice. It cooks evenly and gives that perfect texture every time—fluffy with just the right amount of crisp at the bottom, if you like it like that. The size is just right for my family of big eaters, and I love that it’s oven-safe too, which adds to its versatility. I’ve used it for stews, baked dishes, and of course, countless rice recipes. This thing is durable, classic, and dependable—an absolutely worthy addition to my kitchen arsenal.

Just what I needed, food doesn't stick to it, and it's super easy to wash. I highly recommend it for rice; it's extremely practical.

Good pot. Someone packaged it with the tape roll? Kinda irritated me because it left marks on the top of my pot. Do better.
