Abreva Cold Sore Treatment Rapid Pain Relief Cream - 1 Tube, 3 Grams

This is by far better than any treatment I have ever used. Woke up this morning had a bump, it's 8 hours later and 4 treatments and nothing. Itch gone, blister gone, redness gone. And the price.... Wow big bang for $$

Keep in mind, this is strictly for pain relief and also to relieve the dryness and stiffness aspect of cold sores. Basically when your lip or area around it is feeling super stiff and chapped, it will make the skin supple again. It'll also relieve any tingles or burning. But the actual Abreva cold sore treatment (Docosanol Cream) is what works to actually treat/get rid of the sores themselves. So you need both. I usually place a thin layer of this stuff first, followed by the Abreva cream, allow it to dry (about 30 to 45 minutes) then add a couple cold sore patches to the treated areas to further protect while it heals. I also do red light treatments once in the mornings and once in the evenings, 5 minutes at a time each time. If you wanted to, you could also use just this and then the cold sore patches too. It depends on how effective it is for you. The patches themselves have healing formula in them too. So if you don't like the cream, that is an option. I've found that using the cream plus the patches worked better for me, tho. Ultimately you have to find what works for you. But this tube is specifically for pain relief only, it will not actually treat the sores, so you will need a second form of medicine, whether prescribed or over the counter, to treat the problem itself. So it works well for what it was meant for. Hopefully after this episode, won't need it again for a long time. This was my first episode after nearly 2yrs of not having any. This is the stuff if you suffer from oral HSV. Eases the pain and helps to quickly dry up the problem area. HIGHLY recommend.

I really think I prefer this one over the regular abreva to be honest works faster

I rate this product a 10 being absolutely incredible. If you are looking for something to help cure your cold sore or fever blisters, this is the number one product that will help and cure it. Nothing else will. I recommend getting this it is a bit pricey but all in all its worth it! The relief it gives once you put it on is such a happy feeling. The time it also helps for it to heal also takes less than if you were to use another products, the pain is also taken care of once you put it on.

Seems to be working as intended and has a nice smell. Very easy to use but I would not recommend tasting it. Good quality without stickiness and comfortable. Highly recommended!!

When I think of Abreva, I think of the product that reduces the time for healing and this is NOT that. I know many find the price for this one to be high, but I thought it was lower than usual. The formula for healing is a bit pricier but worth it. I am so disappointed because I now need to run to the store to get the “real” stuff that will make my cold sore go away. It does a good job with numbing the pain so that a positive.

It works for me better than any other brands. I hope the quality and quantity per price keeps improving over time. At any hint of fatigue and illness, PMS, stress, or excess of sun exposure I’m immediately at risk of an outbreak, thus I carry one tube at all times. I also have one by my night stand, and another backed up ready to be used. I don’t give time for the cold sore to pop up. As soon as it starts tingling, itching, or trying to pass as a pimple, I scrub with Abreva to prevent the cold sore to progress at all. I wish the tube had more for the price it sells.
