Winsor and Newton Artists Watercolour Sable Brush Round Size 0

Excellent! I have been using this brush for a month (mostly for botanical watercolour painting but also perfect for other use) and it is now my favourite one! This little brush is just soft enough for flexibility but not too much so can bounce back to retain its shape. It is very pointed so perfect for very detailed work. I would recommend this product.

You only receive on size 8 paintbrush. I was surprised at the price. It is a very good paintbrush that appears to be real sable. Sable is the best material for watercolour and this brush is excellent. I don't know what they are like for oils from personal experience but they have a good reputation. It does not leave any hairs on the painting. Good quality.

Brush is as described and does what is needed

I really love the elegance and shape of this brush. It should be a staple for any watercolour artist of any skill level.

This is a lovely brush - holds the water well, and it should have a nice point. But I was very disappointed with how it was packaged. The brush was not protected at all. It was in a cardboard that was too big and it moved in transit. There was actually a sweet inside the packaging (Swizzels Love Hearts), which is not relevant to the product I bought. As a result, the fibres were damaged, which is a shame for a brush of this quality and price. It is still useable. But I would not recommend this seller.

The product is superb, however I was disappointed with how it had been advertised on amazon.co.uk. The photo of the product had depicted a whole set of W&N brushes, so I figured I would get it all for the listed price. (See attached photo). Only later did I find out that I would get only one brush.

Brought by mistake I was looking for Windsor and newton series 7 for painting miniatures have been using these brushes really impressed prefer these these to the series 7 ones.

I paint a lot and before buying this brush, I had bought other brushes from Winsor and Newton. This brush was supposed to be an upgrade to the other ones I had. I ended up buying at least 3 of these "professional" brushes from Winsor and Newton, but not one of them had a good point. In fact, every one had a long hair that wouldn't conform to the rest of the hairs and it made painting small areas extremely difficult. I feel that I wasted my money with these brushes and barely use them. I prefer the Sceptre Gold II brushes, they are much nicer, have good points and have served me well.
