We had the old & outdated front deck upgraded with this cable system. The old posts were wrapped in cedar and this system installed. It looks amazing. There are more expensive options out there, however, the cables are made with essentially the same grade of cable. Even with needing to order the crimping tool, this is a much better choice. We researched all the options available & nothing was better even at a much higher price point.

Worked great for cable railing

I couldn't believe the price that Amazon listed this as. I priced the same thickness in a local store and it was twice what Amazon listed it as. I thought it would be rougher, but it's quite smooth. I'd still wear gloves to handle it, but so far my gloves haven't snagged on any sharp threads. I used it to repair some fencing I had in the back pasture and I used twisting clamps to tighten the strand and I had it singing and it didn't break. (singing = Twanging the line and it will 'sing') I don't know what else to call it, it's what my Dad taught me when hanging wire between posts. This roll of cable will work great for just about any project needing wire or even rope.

This cable is to suspend my sunshade sails. I want have to worry about the weather nor any UV protection for this stainless cable.

Good cable but not for cable railing.
