This is a great product that I’ve used on many people with different hair types and textures, and the results really come down to personal preference and individual hair needs—especially hair’s porosity level. When it comes to hair care, not every product works the same for everyone. Your hair will either love it or hate it, and that’s completely normal. For us, this product worked extremely well. We are in the type 3A to 4A curl range, and it provided noticeable hydration, helped eliminate frizz, and left curls feeling soft, defined, and more manageable. It works well as both a conditioning treatment and a cream to comb, which makes it very versatile depending on styling preferences. The slip is good, making detangling easier, and it doesn’t leave the hair feeling heavy or greasy when used properly. Because porosity plays such a big role in how hair absorbs and retains moisture, results may vary from person to person. What works beautifully on one head of hair may not perform the same on another, and that doesn’t reflect the quality of the product—it’s simply how hair behaves. Overall, this product worked great for us, and we truly love it. Yes!!! Finally a conditioner that actually works and is versatile!! I have a mix of 3C/4A hair that is always thirsty for moisture. It was fate that I found this gem while looking for a leave in that I could use as a deep conditioner and also as a leave in without weighing my hair down. This is it! It conditioners beautifully and I can use it in the mornings to refresh my slick back bun with just a little bit of water. It doesn't leave a white cast or buildup and my hair is soft, smooth, hydrated with no frizzies in sight! The smell is very fresh and lasts throughout the day. Most days, I only use a spritz of water followed by this conditioner and sealed with a bit of Bask & Lather Hair Balm. That's it and my slick bun lasts all day with amazing shine, moisture, and hold! The ultimate bonus is the huge product size. I am a satisfied customer and will continue to buy!

I purchased this SKALA Mais Crespos treatment specifically for my teenage daughter who has type 3c hair, and it’s become another winner in our household. Just like with the other SKALA products we’ve tried, the first thing that hits you is the amazing smell - it’s absolutely gorgeous and pleasant without being overwhelming. This 2-in-1 conditioning treatment and cream works exceptionally well as a deep conditioner for her hair type. It’s specifically formulated for 4ABC hair, but works well with all curls. You can really tell the difference in how it performs compared to products that claim to work for “all hair types.” It defines her curls beautifully and provides the deep moisture that type 4 hair desperately needs. What I love most about this product is how it leaves her hair feeling - soft and moisturized without any of that crunchy, stiff texture you sometimes get with heavy treatments. It’s perfect for her tight curl texture, and she’s noticed significant improvement in frizz control since we started using it. Unlike some deep conditioners that can build up in the hair over time, this one seems to rinse clean while still providing lasting benefits. ANOTHER UPDATE... Sorry, but I notice that this builds up very easily. A one-time use as a leave-in is good, but... boy. The crunch starts even if I just refresh this by using a water spritz - not even another application. Is this still good? Yes, but I have to take it down a notch. I am going to look for something else as a leave-in for a crunch-less moisturizer. HOWEVER, this (and the other one) is still great as rinse-outs. Had to come back to add to this review. I now also have the Passion Fruit & Pataua Oil Treatment Cream and noticed something: This Mais Crespos is great as a rinse out and okay as a leave-n. I will probably use this for doing a deep conditioning on my hair and rinse. The Passion Fruit one is way different. I ran that through my DRY hair and it made my girls POP! It's really a big difference. I think that both are worth having but if I could ONLY have one it would be the Passion Fruit. PROS: This is very quickly moisturizing for dry hair. Mine in afro-natural 4b/c and tends to be very dry. As soon as I started applying this, my hair was drinking it up. Once the initial moisture soaked in, my hair didn't seem to be as moisturized, but I could *feel* the difference this product made. My hair was not as "crunchy" as it had been. You can sort of tell by looking at the photo, but I can *really* feel change. I think after I use this on a regular basis, my hair will really start to show longer-lasting results. Also, I want to try this on damp hair as a leave-in and on shampooed hair as a rinse-out before I finalize my thoughts. I am really pleased with the size of the container & how little of the product I needed to use to treat my hair. I plan to also try the Passion Fruit & Pataua Oil 2 in 1 Treatment Cream. CONS: It a little hard to hunt down info on how the various products work & how to choose a regimen. Even their website is a little bare of good info.

I was extremely skeptical because I have type for hair, not type 4C or 4B it’s a little bit of a mix of those two. It’s not just one type so it’s really hard to find products but this works pretty good and my hair feels healthy and it’s super soft. I was actually able to departed and detangle it and under five minutes. It’s super short right now cause I just did a big chop because I couldn’t find the right products to detangle it. I didn’t even have to part it with a pick I was just using my fingers and I was able to run my fingers through my hair for the first time in over 13 years without having it to be straight or blow dry. The product itself smells really good. It doesn’t really define my curls but it might with somebody else, but I really don’t care about curl definition. I just wanted to be able to detangler my hair and style it without having to spend three hours, just trying to brush it out. 🥺 10/10 and I have maybe hair that’s roughly to the back of my neck and I used was maybe 2 tablespoons of the hair moisturizer and my hair is still moisturized and the jar is huge and still filled to the top pretty much, which is amazing because usually products aren’t this cheap and effective. I would highly recommend if you have type 4 low porosity hair. My scalp is very sensitive to products so I’ll wait and update this later on if I get really bad buildup.

I have curly hair and this leave in keeps my hair soft and does not frizz. It smells wonderful. My curls are soft and beautiful. It’s thick and you only need a little bit. Very effective.

Leaves a chalky firm on my hair. Smells amazing. Had to Google ingredients. Great bang for your buck. Definitely pops curls
