Rimmel London Nail Nurse Stronger Nail Polish, 12ml

This is brilliant! I highly recommend this product. I recently stopped biting my nails after 20+ years of nervously gnawing away at them and when they grew, they were very thin and very bendy. I could bend my nails with the slightest pressure; bending them forward wasn't too much of an issue, but at work, I'd frequently accidentally bend them back which felt unpleasant and would ruin my nail polish. I painted one coat of this last night and this morning I was shocked that my nails were actually strong and firm like they're supposed to be! I really wasn't expecting this to work as well as it has done, just because it was so affordable, but I'm so glad I bought this! It's giving my nails a chance to recover, and in the meantime, I'll be taking vitamins, drinking more water, moisturising my nails etc. to try and get them to grow healthier. The polish itself can be used as a base coat or on its own. It's a translucent pink in the bottle and when you paint it on, but it dries clear. I think with two or three coats maybe it would look pinker on the nail, but it's so sheer I doubt anyone would really notice much difference from a natural, bare nail. It's not overly shiny either, so if you're a guy who doesn't normally wear nail polish, or if you're not allowed to wear polish at work, don't be too worried about this product. It looks very natural on the nail.

Well, this is an excellent product. I have been using it 3 days and my nails have really shown improvement in this very short time. I notice after 1 day of wearing it that the nails have grown. This didnt happen without it. My nails are stronger! They feel strong and hard. Ive used it twice since i got it, and now today a third time, only because some nail growth was showing. It is shiny and smooth. I use one coat with a ridge filler. I bought it because using a ridge filler alone under colour caused my nails to start to stain, and also i wanted them to grow better. Also to strengthen the toe nails which were breaking. I am hoping this product solves all these. So far so good! It's quite a long time later and i was using it comsistently. The nails seemed strong and improved. It helped them grow well. This was useful. Again another amount of time later - i am using this product again in order to strengthen the nails, which started to break and were bendy. With this on, they feel strong. I will use it for a while and then review.

Having tried the Sally Hansen nail strengthener, I decided to go back to Rimmel having used this product in the past. And it does not disappoint. It dries much quicker, smells nicer and looks better on my nails. The consistency is much better than the Sally Hansen one and it lasts longer. I applied 2 coats and a quick drying top coat which lasted 3-4 days, the Sally Hansen one barely lasted 2 days. Oh and it was much cheaper than the Sally Hansen one. Overall I would recommend this one as its very good for the price and my only issue is how long it lasted but ultimately it’s done the job in that time of helping my brittle nails and making them stronger.

I liked this product, it helped to protect my nails from chipping and cracking. value for money i feel.

This nail varnish product paints on the nails well, no problem with the brush or the smell of it. It dries OK too but it would've been nice if it had a bit more colour. Not very hard wearing, as it chips off after 3 or 4 days so leaves your nail tips exposed. A few nails have broke and it doesn't make nails grow any quicker but I'll keep using it as a barrier. Don't think I'd rush to buy this product again.

Not very good

I had horrendous gel nail damage on my nails.... in fact they were so bad I apologise for my before photo😂 After the gels were removed... I applied religiously every day and the results are that my nails were still splitting and still cracking. After a month. So it didn't stop the north-south splitting . Another thing I noticed is that when I removed all the layers at the end of the week to start afresh, this varnish turned my nails slightly yellow. Like staining. I wish I had bought the more expensive nail food and drink, but then I suppose the budget in me went for the cheapest option. Personally I recommend using castor oil at the base of the nail too, where it grows it served me much better than applying this varnish on the nail bed. Overall the polish did help my nails to grow stronger, but didn't like the staining it caused. Would I re-purchase? No the before picture to the result picture was about 3 months
