MY MANNEQUIN HEAD CAME TODAY, A LITTLE EARLY, WHICH IS GOOD. IT WAS IN A PLASTIC BAG PACKED VERY NICELY IN A BOX WITH A MANNEQUIN HEAD TRIPOD I ORDERED ALSO. THE MANNEQUIN HEAD COMES WITH A FREE TABLE CLAMP & SOME HAIR STYLING ACCESSORIES WHICH IS NICE. ONE PARTICULAR ACCESSORY IS A SQUARE PIECE OF HOOK & LOOP ( VELCRO ) WHICH I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT THAT IS FOR. THE LITTLE BAG IT WAS IN SHOWS A PHOTO OF THIS PIECE OF VELCRO ON THE HAIR OF A MANNEQUIN BUT ALL THE WRITING IS IN ASIAN ( JAPANESE, CHINESE OR SOMETHING ) SO I HAVEN'T ANY IDEA WHAT TO DO WITH IT. IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME WITH THAT I WOULD APPRECIATE IT. THERE IS ALSO ONE BAG OF HAIR TOOLS THAT SHOW HOW TO USE THE TOOLS IN PHOTOS BUT AGAIN, THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE IN CHINESE OR JAPANESE. I ALREADY KNOW HOW TO USE THOSE TOOLS BUT THE STEP BY STEP WAY OF GETTING TO THE DIFFERENT HAIRSTYLES USING THE TOOLS IS GONNA BE MY GUESS BECAUSE I ONLY READ ENGLISH. HOWEVER, I AM EXTREMELY SATISFIED WITH THIS "SILKY # 4" WITH 40 % HUMAN HAIR & 60 % SYNTHETIC HAIR. THE COLOR IS AS ORDERED - DARK BROWN & THE ADVERTISEMENT SAYS 24" TO 28", BUT IT IS LONGER THAN ADVERTISED, MINE IS 31 " FROM FOREHEAD HAIRLINE TO ENDS AT BACK OF HEAD ( I MEASURED FROM FORHEAD HAIRLINE, OVER TOP OF HEAD & DOWN TO ENDS ON BACKSIDE). THE HAIR IS VERY FULL & THICK & THE SCALP ON THE MANNEQUIN LOOKS JUST LIKE A HUMAN'S ANY PLACE I PART IT. NO BALD SPOTS. THE HAIRLINE AROUND FACE & NECK LOOKS JUST LIKE A HUMAN'S. THE HAIR FEELS REAL & LIFE - LIKE IN MY OPINION & SEEMS TO BRAID JUST LIKE HUMAN HAIR. I DO NOT PLAN TO USE HOT COMB OR BLOW DRYER ON IT, NOR DO I PLAN TO CUT IT OR PUT IT IN ROLLERS, AS I WILL BE USING MINE FOR PRACTICING BRAIDING & HAIRSTYLES ONLY. SO I CAN'T COMMENT ON HOW WELL OTHER TECHNIQUES MIGHT WORK ON THE HAIR. THERE IS NO SHEDDING, NOT ONE STRAND OF HAIR WHEN I COMBED IT OUT AFTER REMOVING IT FROM THE PLASTIC BAG. I DID DO, AS SUGGESTED BY MANUFACTURER, & GENTLY COMB THROUGH HAIR STARTING AT LENGTH ENDS & MOVED UPWARDS, RATHER THAN STARTING AT SCALP & MOVE DOWNWARDS. THEY SAID TO DO THE FIRST COMBING LIKE THAT SO I DID. AM SO PLEASED THAT IT HAD NO SHEDDING. ADVERTISEMENT STATED IT HAS MINIMAL SHEDDING, BUT I HAVE NONE SO FAR. THOUGH I WILL SAY, AFTER I PLACED MANNEQUIN ON TRIPOD & PICKED UP PLASTIC BAG IT CAME IN (TO PUT OVER HEAD), I DID SEE A FEW STRANDS OF HAIR ON FLOOR THAT OBVIOUSLY WERE NOT MINE. SO I AM THINKING THEY FELL OUT OF BAG THE HEAD WAS IN. THEY COULD HAVE BEEN LOOSE HAIRS ON HEAD OR FELL OUT INTO BAG DURING SHIPMENT, I DON'T KNOW, BUT I HAD NO SHEDDING DURING COMBING & AFTER 1ST COMBING, I COMBED AGAIN FROM SCALP DOWNWARD TOWARD ENDS OF HAIR & STILL HAD NO SHEDDING AT ALL. THE HAIR REALLY DIDN'T NEED COMBING UPON OPENING BECAUSE IT WAS NOT TANGLED, BUT BECAUSE OF THE LONG LENGTH OF HAIR THAT HAD TO BE PACKED IN THAT PLASTIC BAG, IT WAS WRAPPED AROUND THE HEAD & ACROSS FACE, I GUESS TO KEEP STRANDS SMOOTH. THAT IS WHY I COMBED THROUGH IT. ALSO, HAVE READ SOME REVIEWS ON MANNEQUIN HEADS WITH HUMAN HAIR THAT SAID BUYERS FOUND DEAD NITS FROM LICE IN THE HAIR. WELL, I HAVE FOUND NONE IN MINE & THERE IS NO ODOR TO THE HAIR AT ALL. VERY CLEAN. I AM VERY SATISFIED WITH MY PURCHASE & WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND OTHERS TO BUY IT. IT IS PERFECT FOR WHAT I INTEND TO USE IT FOR.

Great item. My daughter is learning how to do hair on it.

Color exactly as pictured, decent quality for the price. Does well with heat. Love the clamp it comes with to hold it still. My 10 yr old daughter loves hers. My only complaint is the hair easily tangles up and becomes a mess. Texture is a little on the coarse side

Works okay, curls don't hold long.

This doll head is great for someone wanting to just play with hair. However if you are a cosmetology student like me, it is very stringy and hard to work with. It does curl or straighten, but cannot hold any water because it is a good portion of synthetic hair.

I love this for practicing for my cosmotoloy class at home. The hair is synthetic and can not color or bleach, but works great for practicing cuts. LOL I also put false eyelashes in her and named her Felicia

I got the item from the bag and put the clap piece together and as soon as I tried to tighten it lightly to the table I noticed that it was cracking and slowing breaking. Really disappointed but I guess you get what you pay for! I absolutely hate going to the post office to return things!!! Defeating the purpose of shopping online and avoiding going to the store. There was no way to message the seller. After I realized that the clamp was breaking I took it off of the table and tried to at least braid it in my lap. The hair is very straw like tangles easily but the texture of the hair makes it easy to braid. The hair is very thick. It does shed terribly so I doubt it would stay that thick if I had gotten to actually use it several times. I guess I will keep looking, and you should too! Don’t waste your money or the time and gas to have to go to the post office to return!

I LOVE this mannequin head, I bought it because I want to be a hairstylist one day, It works so well to do hair styles on and it’s so fun to play around with, I just tried heat on it the other day (lowest settings) and the curls came out so cute! I tired it again the next day with a different curler and agin cute! When the curls came out I noticed the ends got a bit fried… haven’t heard anything about washing her hair but will try some oils and wig shampoos to try and fix it, maybe fabric softener? But other then the small fry.. I literally never stop messing around with it!!!! Get this right now
