An excellent boba for folks watching carbs
I will admit to being a little nervous about konjac pearls when I opened the package and got a whiff of them. It's not something I am fond of, but... They don't really taste like anything and the syrup masks the smell. I did not use three tablespoons of the syrup, as it's pretty sweet, but I am super happy with the product. It has that boba chew. It has stevia in it, but doesn't have that bitter aftertaste. I would buy this again. My only gripe, and it is a small one, is that one pack of the konjac is more pearls than you need.

I should have trusted the other reviews
Absolutely disgusting. I tried this both following the directions on the package and the directions from one of the other reviewers and both times I had to throw away my drink. And I hate wasting food, so if I couldn't choke it down, you know it's bad. 1. Flavor: this has the mildest hint of tea and an overwhelming amount of licorice. I love licorice. I'm the type of person who will buy a bag of just black jellybeans. Trust me when I say this is overwhelming. This has beyond absinthe levels of strong. This is choking on air levels of strong. Standard black milk tea has no business tasting this much like licorice. 2. Sweetness: I get that stevia is sweeter than sugar, I /get it./ But that's why recipes adjust levels of sweetness, Jan. Adding stevia in the same quantities as sugar means that the sweetness of one serving has the same combined sweetness of all of the Halloween candy you have ever eaten in your entire life. It feels like it can drill a hole directly into your tooth from sweetness. Nothing has any business being this sweet. Eating pure sugar is not this sweet. 3. Tapioca pearls: okay, this one was just mildly disappointing, but added to everything else was the rotten cherry on top of the moldy cake. These were not chewy, but more like the splitting texture of something with too much gelatin in it. Between the size, shape, and texture, I felt like I was eating frog spawn.

The tea is good!
The tea though everyone has already mentioned it is a bit sweet, but just add to taste and it's all good. The boba on the other hand, DO NOT BUY THIS AND EXPECT THE TEXTURE OF TAPIOCA PEARLS. You will be so disappointed. The texture is really not good.

Try with Tea and Heavy Whipping Cream or Creamer
Normally I'm too lazy to leave reviews but once I saw the reviews I had to leave my positive experience (please don't discontinue this product, Keto Naturals!) I can't believe the bad reviews, this stuff does taste like milk tea to me -- specifically milk tea flavor btw, the base tea flavor. Disclaimer, this is coming from someone who's not a fan of all this company's products. I can't deny, some of thier stuff is bland, but this isn't one of them. Seeing the reviews, I feel bad, because sometimes people are being unfair with this company. I think it's unfair to say "it doesn't taste like the store." Ummm yeah what do you expect? It's a keto substitute, and comments like these make it obvious that someone has not been doing keto long enough to understand that products without sugar won't taste EXACTLY THE SAME as thing MADE WITH SUGAR. Same thing as things that are pink are not the same color as things that are orange -_- like cmon. Store boba is made with sugar and sometimes milk, and flavorings such as taro are derived from very starchy ingredients or sugary ingredients like fruits. This is very similar to milk tea, honestly the perfect substitute in my opinion. That goes for the jellies as well, I was surprised at how perfect a substitute they were for tapioca. They are flavorless and gelatin like in texture, with that same tapioca "chew". The sweetness of the syrup is not too sweet to me but I'm very much used to artificial sweeteners, which for stevia is 150-450 times sweeter than sucrose. That all being said, one thing I've done way before finding this is perfecting my own keto milk tea. For this product, instead of using milk like the instructions say, I use prefer tea. Now you think that defeats the whole purpose, having to sit there and make it, but I personally think it tastes better versus putting in milk. The milk tastes great don't get me wrong but I like this better. This is also my method for making keto milk tea even without the flavoring. What you'll need: - Water (1.5 cups) - This Boba Flavoring - 2+ tbsp Heavy whipping cream/**heavy whipping cream powder/coffee creamer/Coconut oil powder - 2-3 tea bags (decaf) black or green I steep two tea bags of decaf black or green tea in about 1.5 cups of water (I'm not a fancy tea person so just microwave it.) for 2 minutes. I let it oversteep, I just leave it in there. **If you're using heaving whipping cream powder (which is what I prefer) then you'll want to mix it in while it's hot. 2 tbps/scoops or more (I've done up to 4tbsp, for more of a milky taste). The best option for getting that milk taste is using heavy whipping cream because creamer is more a diluted taste, but if dairy free you can try a dairy free creamer or maybe even coconut milk/cream or almond milk. It won't be the same taste, though. Coco oil powder is a great HWC powder alternative. Then let cool. It's best to put in the fridge to give it time to cool, if you add ice to it it'll dilute it too much. But if you want to drink it asap, do 3 bags of tea and use a ton of ice to stir it in, otherwise the ice will just melt. I've done it this way and I literally had to use a bowl, streamer, and funnel lol. Then once it's cooled stir in this boba flavoring or other flavorings/syrups (I use taro essences/extracts from online and my local store, if not using this, or the thai flavor they have.) Test 1 tbsp at a time for your sweetness level. Add ice if you want and you're done! Again this is my method for milk tea, which tastes good with or without this but this definitely has a great milk tea taste in my opinion. Keep in mind, this method above gives it more of an authentic milk TEA taste, not the thicker type drinks. if you want that more milkshake or smoothie like consistency (Like something like Kung Fu Tea), then you'll need to have a blender and blend using different ingredients high in fat. (Like coconut milk, heavy whipping cream/HWC powder/Avacado/high fat keto ice cream) along with ice and this boba flavoring/flavoring extracts, like you would a milkshake. Those milkshake/smoothie types you get at the store use things like condensed milk and flavor powder and milk powder, there's no tea involved in those.

tastes good! boba pearls kinda suck tho
the taste of the 0 cal tea was SO GOOD but it is so sweet 😣 i recommend adding <1 tbsp to 1 cup milk bc the taste is so strong. The boba pearls tasted.. like nothing and i didn’t rlly like the texture either (it sort of reminded me of konjac noodles) overall i will VERY MUCH enjoy the tea but will probably throw out the boba pearls

Kinda gross. Not worth the money.
The milk tea flavoring is drinkable. It has a very strong artificial sweetener taste. I eat and drink a lot of things with artificial sweetener, so I'm pretty used to the taste. The konjac boba was really gross. I am disappointed that this kit was so expensive, and was so bad.

Sickly sweet and tiny Boba pearls
Such a disappointment! And no returns so I’ll just have to throw it out. The sugar substitute is way overpowering and sickly sweet. I tried thinning it out with more milk but then it just lost the flavor and was now overly sweet milk. 😩 Also, the boba pearls are weirdly tiny, so you can’t chew them - they just fly through the straw and down your throat. What’s the point of that???

Pretty good!
I read several negative reviews on this product and completely disagree! The taste was very nice and reminded me of traveling in Asia. After following the directions and trying it… I then doctored it up with some sugar free whipped cream!! Delicious!! The one bad thing is the tapioca balls… they are pretty gross. After trying once, I threw these in the trash and used sugar free maple syrup instead!
