Nice and bright! SMD 5050 LED chips! Better than cob!
I've known about LED (Light Emmitting Diodes) since I was 7 years old (43 years ago) - when only red, yellow, green was invented/develooed or easily available for purchase for use as components on PCB's, et al...SMD 5050 are the best in my opinion if you want brightness - especially in practical situations where a good light source is required - like using in kitchens and illuminating worktops. There's nothing worse than bad lit areas (decent sparkies, take note!)Only tested, not replaced old SMD 5050 strips yet.I'll secure the strips ever 300mm with a dot of clear hybrid grab adhesive (Soudal crystal clear). No fool should ever rely solely on the self adhesive backing of ANY brand of LED strips.Thank me later! Good bright LED strip
These Kebinfen LEDs give an even white light with almost no variation between the different chips. They are not sealed with a waterproof cover. The double-sided adhesive tape is still not brilliant, but it is better than often found on these strips and this is the first set (from several different makes over recent years) where I have not needed to (all too easily) remove the original and supply my own d/s sticky tape. The full strip uses about 2.5Amps from 12.0Volts, rising to 3Amps at 12.3Volts, which is about half of the specified wattage (60W). As one might expect there is almost no power taken below about 7Volts and no light. However, if it gives out the correct amount of light for half the power I will not be complaining. I'm using a 5Amp power supply and my power leads are applied (soldered) to centre points on my two strips, for effectively four strips but only two leads going back to the splitter. The 4000K colour is a little bit cooler than a normal warm-white and does not have the undesirable pinkness sometimes associated with certain brands of LED bulbs. So it is ideal when arranged around a bathroom mirror for applying make-up, allowing for a result with a good compromise between indoor colour (3000K), outdoor colour (6500K), and industrial fluorescent lighting (often a greenish 4000K)As with all of these styles of LED lights, the strip is made up of half metre segments soldered together, and again this is the first where it has been done properly, so that the joins are almost unnoticeable and lie flat, without any distortion from unsightly great lumps of solder. The strip is 9.5mm wide so will fit nicely into a 10mm wide shallow U channel for good protection and heat-sinking. On a 12V supply the 150 Ohm dropper resistor for each trio of LEDs connected across the three chips (each six-pin SMD 5050 chip has three LEDs) is running at about 25 to 30 milliWatts.Safety. Be aware that not being waterproofed they should not be allowed to get wet, and with the exposed components easily touched by fingers the 12V supply should be double insulated from the mains or have the 0V side grounded to mains safety earth.I have stuck my strips to a smooth metal framework which fortunately happens to be bonded to mains earth, as well as serving as a heat-sink to maximise the LEDs lifespan.

Good lights; Useless adhesive
The led strip is very good with the exception of the adhesive. It's systematically come unstuck almost everywhere. I've invested in some aluminium channel to screw to the underside of the kitchen cabinets. That will sort the issue but it would have been nice not to have to spend another £20 to finish the job off. It's also with reiterating that this led strip has a width of 10mm. Important when it comes to buying connectors.

Excellent!
These are really good. Excellent value for money and very bright. Brighter than you would expect so you'll find you probably need less of them than planned.A nice bonus is that they're wired on both ends, so after trimming them down to the required length/brightness, you have another set available!

this was a good product, but the lights turned out to be the incorrect colour, but that was my fault, the description is correct.

Not what I expected
Didn’t know I’d have to buy 3 other parts to make it work

Poor adhesive
LED’s ok but the adhesive used is useless. Installed onto a cleaned painted surface in the back of my van, they fell down within hours. Needed to apply superglue to remedy this. Nice bright light but not as white as previous version.
