Star Wars Micro Galaxy Squadron Imperial Shuttle - 7-Inch Starship Class Vehicle with Three 1-Inch Micro Figure Accessories

For some reason it is hard to find a cool toy plane, especially a Star Wars plane. Local toy stores had Lego planes and miniature helicopters, but nothing like this. The plane has a lot of surprise doors and little ways to adjust the wings and doors, which my 7 year old son loves. It's the perfect size for zooming around the house in one hand and it has held up well, even with some drops. This was a fun birthday present.

Given the price point of this ship in comparison to other vehicles of in the micro galaxy squadron collection, I was not anticipating the Imperial shuttle to be so large! Once you remove it from the packaging, attach the wings, and fold them out into flight mode, the shuttle pushes 12" in total height. With that scale comes a wonderful attention to detail. Like many other ships in the line, the shuttle features a detailed and distressed paint job which conveys that 'rough and ready' look Star Wars vehicles are known for. For a collector looking to display this, you can't go wrong.As a playable toy, my son has found it somewhat difficult to get the minifigures of Palpatine and the Royal Guard into the tight interior spaces of the throne room due to the position of the dorsal wing. I also found it a wee bit disappointing that the boarding ramp does not lead to the interior space - a common problem with the larger vehicles in this toy line. Otherwise, the model is sturdy, and I am particularly impressed with the satisfying way the side wings lock into place when rotating from flight to landing modes.

I was very surprised by this guy. I thought, yeah, a shuttle, whoopty doo. I have the old action fleet one, and it's whelming. This new one is a banger! They made sure to have much closer, if not perfect proportions for the big wings, and WOW! It is awesome on the shelf. Gave me the kid toy high, when I put it together. I have it on a plastic champagne flute so it can have some height and show off the wings, and man it looks sooo good! A surprise gem in a great line.

very good product but the package I received is defect. there are cracks on the window box and there are fingerprint marks on the cockpit window of the starship. hope the seller can give the best product before posting to the buyer.

I got this for my grandson for his 10th Birthday and he loved it. Was on his Christmas List! It's pretty cool. I would definitely recommend.
