This plus a stainless filter housing helps keep rust dust out of my drinking water and storage tank. I have an old house with an old steel cased well and the rust does make its way into my water. I put this first and filter off the larger particles, then I have a carbon/particulate filter after it that finishes up the filtering for the whole house. Third I have a RO system under the sink for drinking water. This does a great job as the first line of defense. I have it in a filter housing with a ball valve on the bottom to flush/purge the sediment occasionally and I don't even have to open the housing.

I needed a new filter for my whole house system, and this one caught my eye because it's stainless steel and reusable. At 10 microns, it seems to be doing a good job catching sediment; I noticed less gunk in my fixtures. The flow rate seems decent too; no noticeable drop in pressure. It dropped right into my existing housing without any issues. But cleaning it is a bit of a pain; you really need to get in there to get it fully clean. I'm hoping it lasts a long time, but only time will tell. For the price, it's not bad if it holds up.

It only fit if I removed the silicone seals on each end. After that, it was a good fit. It may have some debris leak by, but it's a sediment filter so not a big deal. I know it's a good fit because I measured the height against a regular filter using a height gauge. I also measured the height of the housing with the stainless filter installed. That is how I knew it was too tall, it wouldn't screw all the closed.

Showed up quick and packaged well. The filter itself feels and looks well made. Unfortunately I ordered the incorrect size, so I couldn’t test how well it actually functions. Judging on looks alone, I’d say it should work as well as the manufacturer claims.

I thought this was going to be a great product, I almost ordered another on only with a different micron so I could filter in stages. I finally finished my plumbing project and went to change the filters but it is to tall and will not let the filter case seal. I also waited to long to return it so now I have a new $64.85 filter I can’t use.

This is designed as a reusable replacement filter for a small canister filter. I was not expecting a port and gasket at both ends. That defeats my purpose in buying it.The build quality is great, though. All weld seams and connections are well done.

Absolutely would not fit in my filter housing with gaskets on both ends. I removed the gaskets and it fit. Needs to be 1/4" shorter. I'm still going to use it but frustrated the gaskets won't fit.
